Jeremy Cullen looked out the window at the large grounds that made up his brother's property. He built it up from nothing, and it was one of the things he was most proud of about his older sibling.

The driver pulled up to the gate, spoke to the security guard there, and then maneuvered the car into the driveway.

Though the Cullen's Institute for the Gifted was the pride and joy of his late brother's life, word had gotten to Jeremy that the school was not doing well. It's headmaster was apparently gone missing and the entire school was run by one very overworked man. That man would receive a long and healthy vacation.

He was worried about his brother's legacy. Since the two of them discovered their mutant powers at the ages of fifteen, they had been working and risking their lives to help others like them come to grips with what they had been blessed with. It was their vocation, their calling.

Mirror looked at his cohort. One thin, dirty man looked out at the place with apparent indifference. Another one, dressed in bright colors was positively ecstatic. One sat silent, as usual, writing on a small pad of paper. The last one was asleep with his chin on his chest.

He knew all their powers--he could sense them and wield them. That was his gift. Perfect empathy with others. He could experience their powers for himself and help them to control them. And so he had with these four. And now he would be assisting at his brother's school helping several teenaged youngsters to do the same thing.

At last the car pulled up to the front door of the main building. Mirror stepped out of the car and smiled at the campus. His spotless white suit gleamed in the sunlight as he made his way up the steps to the door.

It was time to set to work in his brother's vineyard.
