Got to see Defiance on Saturday. I really liked it. I'm not sure I'd own it (mainly because there are other movies on my list, I'd rather own) but it's definitely worth seeing. A lot better than 'The Last Samurai' which Edward Zwick also directed (I only remember Hans Zimmer's score from that movie, which is awesome).

Liev Schreiber has shown he's come a long way from the Scream movies and does an excellent job as a 'tough guy'. He'll do a great job as Sabretooth in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" I think. Daniel Craig is a solid actor who is proving he's more than 'just' James Bond. That and his eyes are just awesome.

I can also see why James Newton Howard got the Oscar nomination for best original score. The soundtrack is VERY good and worth buying.

I've always loved Liev Schreiber. He's great. And Daniel Craig was more than just James Bond before he did James Bond, silly.

This movie is really good, I really liked it. I like true stories, and this was a great one that worked as a movie really well, imo. Very touching, uplifting, nerve-wracking, thrilling... it hit all the right notes for me. :)

That I know. But I haven't seen Layer Cake or The Jacket (although I did see Elizabeth, Road to Perdition, and Renaissance) so some audiences may not know who he is outside of the Bond films.

Archangel is another good pre-Bond Craig film. At least, I liked it.

As is Munich.

Craig is amazing but he's pretty well typecast into "Eurotrash people killer guy" movies. This is not a bad thing, I mean look at Jean Reno ;)
