....out of the dorms and into the fraternity house.

Yup I finally got out of the dormitory housing contract after about a month of harassing the Housing Department. And I'll be moving into the Theta Tau chapter house just off of campus.

Move should take about 2 days (gotta haul furniture like ze bed and such up here from home) so I'll be busy for a bit.

The new place will be a big improvement. Room is about 5 times the size of my dorm room and will be about half the cost (and I get to drop the meal plan). Should save me about $2000-$2800 this semester.

Rent here also covers all utilities, laundry, and internet so YAY! for getting a good deal.

Will have pictures up at some point to compare the rooms.

COngratulations! That should be fun, and saving money is always good. Of course, once I got into an on-campus apartment at my college and dropped the meal plan to 5 meals a week (so I could eat lunch) I began to live off of Sourdough Jacks and In-N-Out cheeseburgers with grilled onions... :uhoh

Yeah I want to see pics of your chapter house. I don't have any pics of Mu chapter, but ours was built by the university so it wasn't something super snazzy, but we still had like ten rooms. That, and it was within walking distance of everything and just perfect.

1 Massive entertainment lounge (several couches, TV, Surround stereo system, pool table, ping pong table, dart board, board game shelves, foosball table)

1st Level:

2 rooms meant to be doubles
Full bathroom with 2 showers and several stalls

Massive lounge for whatever we can think up

To be fair, we drank a fairly retarded amount of alcohol that day. You know its insane when you warm up by splitting a fifth of bourbon.

From there, I think there were a jello shots, some tequila involved, at least two kegstands, and an everlasting vat of bullfrog.

I used to drink a lot it seems.
