Title says all. Tab up all of your loot pile and let us know what you got!

Okay, this is an early draft. I am going to forget a lot of stuff since I had to leave half of this stuff at my parents house, simply because it was too much to haul.

From a friend in Indonesia (It's not really a christmas present but we played item exchange buddies this month!):

Two Indonesian cookbooks! They look awesome and I can't wait to start making stuff in them!

From my secret santa on a gun forum:

An eight round magazine for my Walther PPS
40 rounds of 62 grain .223 Remington FMJ, because enough is never enough.

From my secret santa on a cooking forum:

A Chef's Choice 460 Diamond Hone knife sharpener, so I can keep my santoku at laser sharpness at will :)

From my mother in law:

Pressurized wine stoppers

From my father in law:

Two MASSIVE cookbooks (I'm talking 1000+ pages). One on professional cooking, and another on sauces! Sauces are sort of a weak link for me right now so I'm actually pretty stoked about that one in particular.

From my sister in law:

A Martha Stewart cookbook (pipe down you haters she's got some good ideas)
A really gorgeous hindu-themed mirror
Two new clonetrooper action figures I didn't have, woo hoo!

From my wife's uncle in Hawaii:

MOAR COFFEE and a coffee mug!

From my aunt and uncle:

An awesome Alabama football Santa Claus statue thing, which will be used next Christmas. It was really hard for them to buy this because they're big Auburn fans, but very sweet of them!

From a few friends of the family:

The best brisket I have ever tasted in my 28 years on earth
An AMAZING antique double-ended wooden cooking spoon, with a stir-end and a tasting-end.

From Christin:

A Greek cookbook, which is surprisingly hard to find. Most "Greek" cookbooks are these amalgamations of a lot of recipes across the eastern mediterranean. Nothing wrong with that, but it's hard to find a good one that focuses on Greek roots with a passion.
A Young Indiana Jones action figure
The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus (my favorite historian!)
The Gladiators by Fik Meijer
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Generation Kill (the HBO series)
A two liter beer boot, so I can now become an olympic beer drinker!
COMFY HOUSE SHOES (YESSSSS)

From my sister & her husband:

A mediterranean cookbook and an asian cookbook <3
A really comfy Columbia burnt orange hoodie
Some gonzo foodie stuff like white zinfandel cheese spread, spanish sweet paprika, bell pepper & eggplant spread, artichoke & mushroom bruschetta topping, and some high % cacao chocolate squares because I find dark chocolate very useful.

From my dad:

The Ralph Lauren fragrance collection, because I'm a sucker for those little bottles of different cologne. It's Polo, Polo Black, Polo Explorer, Polo Extra Black, and Polo Blue, and they all smell great.

From my mom:

A really nice wine rack with stemware organizer and other stuff. I can't wait to put this thing together tomorrow!
A propane torch (FINALLY) so I can start searing ahi, mushrooms, aubergines, EVERYTHING
A cool crinkle cut veggie chopper thing
A pasta maker!
A nice hanging utensil organizer thing to help free up space in my TINY TINY kitchen
A set of silicone basting brushes so I can toss my other ones out!
A set of frosting spatulas for whenever I start getting deeper into baking
A set of really nice little tongs (these are hard to find for some reason!)
A pair of kitchen utility scissors so I don't have to steal my wife's work set
A cookbook propper-upper thing
Comfy flannel pajama pants
Totally awesome big red Calphalon apron, with lots of pockets for the high speed, low drag cook I am :)

I got an old wooden butter churn, a book by Rafik Schami, a couple of dish cloths, some chocolates, money, christmas cookies, two scarves, and a picture of angels drawn by my daughter.

Christmas "loot" used to be more when I was younger, but I think it seems to be passed on to the next generation.

From my mum and sisters I got a lovely shirt and this woollen jacket/cardigan that is super thick, has a hood and lined with fur so it's very warm and cozy; perfect for winter and it looks great. On top of that there's the DKNY cologne and dodorant set, Superman mug and slippers, the latest Bond novel, Devil May Care, comfy lounging at home garb which is basically smart pyjamas, a Parker pen set, an FCUK sport anti-persperant, shower gel, and water bottle set, and finally, the essential Cadbury's selection box.

From my cousins I recieved a rather handsome sports watch, a bottle of Jack Daniels, and a Lynx set - I think people are trying to tell me something with all these smellies. :uhoh

My uncle gave me a very generous gift of £30, my auntie gave me a book called Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.

From Peter I recieved Left 4 Dead, which I cannot wait to play... when I finally summon up the courage!

And from myself, my personal favourite of Christmas even if I do say so myself, tickets bought in February to see the Mary Poppins stage musical with my mum and sisters. We went to see it in Manchester tonight and it was even more magical, wonderous, and joyful than I imagined it would be - on the way out I treated myself to the official show soundtrack, which I'm listening to right now, and a huge Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious mug which is just an explosion of colourful awesome! I get paid on the 2nd of next month and I will be buying tickets to see it again before it closes in March.

On a final and sentimental note, perhaps the very best present this year has been the fact that, moreso than any other previous Christmas I can recall, these last few days have been filled with such happiness and warth amongst family and friends, it's just been a wonderful and very happy Christmas for me this year. Good times!

Edit: Oh, I got the third Dexter novel. Read it in a day and have to wait a year for the next one to come out in soft cover :(

From the folks: A 40-inch Samsung LCD TV - 1080p - awesome! (It's now wall-mounted!)

From my girlfriend: An XBOX 360 with Crackdown, PES 6 and King Kong. As well as The Dark Knight and Iron Man on Blu-Ray.

Droo got me an X-Files book, and subsequently said it should kick-start my X-Files DVD collection (mainly because I know he wants to watch them too!)

My girlfriends mum and dad got me a jumper/sweater/whatever you wanna call it. Also, a odel of the Enterprise-D which is now flanking my model of Arnie from T2 along with my model of the Enterprise. Also socks/boxers/chocolate.

The rest of my girlfriends family got me an assortment of gift sets (Lynx/Adidas/CK etc), t-shirts and chocolate, and one of her aunties in particular got me a hard-backed edition of The Hobbit. Yay!

I've bought myself Hellboy 3 on Blu-Ray, Dead Rising and Fable 2 for XBOX 360, and a book to kickstart my fantasy drawing. It's basic but I need guidance on learning how to design poses for characters before actually drawing detail etc. I want to eventually be able to draw my own Aliens (Ridley Scott/James Cameron Aliens) and marines. I've always been good at drawing - copying exactly what I see whether its still life or something out of a comic or other pcture. I used to draw Sonic the hedgehog all the time, but I'd like to create my own characters. So this book will get that ball rolling and I'll be buying the other book I saw next month - how to draw Undead Creatures! Oh yeah!

From other family and friends I ended up raking in £150 too.

What is this, the "charley boasts about his gigantic haul while the rest of us writhe in jealousy" thread? ;)

I got:
from my 'Fans secret santa, Kaman -
1001 things it means to be a Mom
The Handmaid's Tale (awesome I read it already)

From my brother -
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Wii Music
an LED keychain flashlight

From my son -
slobbery kisses

Owen got all the loot this year - my family decided not to give gifts because my sister-in-law is going to be getting married in Hawaii in October and so we can't afford anything. I have no idea at this point if that will actually happen, but that's the plan. >_<
