Title says all. Tab up all of your loot pile and let us know what you got!
Okay, this is an early draft. I am going to forget a lot of stuff since I had to leave half of this stuff at my parents house, simply because it was too much to haul.
From a friend in Indonesia (It's not really a christmas present but we played item exchange buddies this month!):
Two Indonesian cookbooks! They look awesome and I can't wait to start making stuff in them!
From my secret santa on a gun forum:
An eight round magazine for my Walther PPS
40 rounds of 62 grain .223 Remington FMJ, because enough is never enough.
From my secret santa on a cooking forum:
A Chef's Choice 460 Diamond Hone knife sharpener, so I can keep my santoku at laser sharpness at will :)
From my mother in law:
Pressurized wine stoppers
From my father in law:
Two MASSIVE cookbooks (I'm talking 1000+ pages). One on professional cooking, and another on sauces! Sauces are sort of a weak link for me right now so I'm actually pretty stoked about that one in particular.
From my sister in law:
A Martha Stewart cookbook (pipe down you haters she's got some good ideas)
A really gorgeous hindu-themed mirror
Two new clonetrooper action figures I didn't have, woo hoo!
From my wife's uncle in Hawaii:
MOAR COFFEE and a coffee mug!
From my aunt and uncle:
An awesome Alabama football Santa Claus statue thing, which will be used next Christmas. It was really hard for them to buy this because they're big Auburn fans, but very sweet of them!
From a few friends of the family:
The best brisket I have ever tasted in my 28 years on earth
An AMAZING antique double-ended wooden cooking spoon, with a stir-end and a tasting-end.
From Christin:
A Greek cookbook, which is surprisingly hard to find. Most "Greek" cookbooks are these amalgamations of a lot of recipes across the eastern mediterranean. Nothing wrong with that, but it's hard to find a good one that focuses on Greek roots with a passion.
A Young Indiana Jones action figure
The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus (my favorite historian!)
The Gladiators by Fik Meijer
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Generation Kill (the HBO series)
A two liter beer boot, so I can now become an olympic beer drinker!
COMFY HOUSE SHOES (YESSSSS)
From my sister & her husband:
A mediterranean cookbook and an asian cookbook <3
A really comfy Columbia burnt orange hoodie
Some gonzo foodie stuff like white zinfandel cheese spread, spanish sweet paprika, bell pepper & eggplant spread, artichoke & mushroom bruschetta topping, and some high % cacao chocolate squares because I find dark chocolate very useful.
From my dad:
The Ralph Lauren fragrance collection, because I'm a sucker for those little bottles of different cologne. It's Polo, Polo Black, Polo Explorer, Polo Extra Black, and Polo Blue, and they all smell great.
From my mom:
A really nice wine rack with stemware organizer and other stuff. I can't wait to put this thing together tomorrow!
A propane torch (FINALLY) so I can start searing ahi, mushrooms, aubergines, EVERYTHING
A cool crinkle cut veggie chopper thing
A pasta maker!
A nice hanging utensil organizer thing to help free up space in my TINY TINY kitchen
A set of silicone basting brushes so I can toss my other ones out!
A set of frosting spatulas for whenever I start getting deeper into baking
A set of really nice little tongs (these are hard to find for some reason!)
A pair of kitchen utility scissors so I don't have to steal my wife's work set
A cookbook propper-upper thing
Comfy flannel pajama pants
Totally awesome big red Calphalon apron, with lots of pockets for the high speed, low drag cook I am :)
