So, where to begin?
Yesterday, some people near our house goofed the floof and caused a tree to come crashing down on our house. The damage was thankfully not as bad as it could have been, but it did end up caving in the roof in the kitchen slightly. Couldn't see sky, but when it began to rain that night, water cascaded into the kitchen. I was pretty despondent about it all, but she kept my spirits up. We went out in the (HOLY HELL) freezing heavy rain and I held the ladder while she shimmied to the roof in the dark, and spread a tarp over the damaged section, to lessen the water leaking inside. We caught rain water in a mop bucket and my dutch oven, and ordered pizza due to the kitchen being closed. Needless to say, I wasn't happy, but she kept me from being too angry about it. Prior to all of this, we already had to deal with a rickety front door and a leaky toilet, and with this added on, I started to feel like it was piling on.
I went to work this morning, but came home early to try and help shore up the little disaster. Christin was up, met one of the guys who was there when the tree fell, who helped to repair the roof and ceiling. In addition to doing that, she worked on the front door and installed new hardware to fix it up. She also worked for quite a bit of time to fix the toilet. She's done such an outstanding job at everything, and I can't even begin to sing her praises enough :)
