I'm afraid I have to agree with Liam. We counted LD's Thursday pick last week, which was about twenty minutes late (and she said she didn't know when the game began), but this pick was posted well into the second half, and the rules do say the picks must be in before the games start.
Sorry. :(

My brother, who's been keeping track of playoff scenarios, has come across an interesting potential prisoner's dilemma situation in the AFC...
The Colts' victory last night guaranteed them the #5 seed in the playoffs. That leaves four teams - the Ravens, the Jets the Dolphins, and the Patriots - contending for the final wild card berth in the AFC (though one of the AFC East teams will get in as division champ).
The Ravens have the inside track and can guarantee the #6 seed by winning their remaining games - at Dallas and vs. Jacksonville. They have the same record (9-5) as the Dolphins and Patriots, but they own the AFC tiebreakers. If the Ravens lose one of their remaining games, they will need a loss by two of the following - Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots - to keep pace.
However, suppose the Ravens and Patriots lose this weekend and the Jets and Dolphins win (at Seattle and at Kansas City, respectively). The Patriots are out, the Ravens stand at 9-6, and the Jets and Dolphins are tied at 10-5 until the two of them play in New York in week 17.
The winner of the Jets-Dolphins matchup would take the AFC East crown at 11-5, and the Ravens would have the opportunity to step back into the #6 seed at 10-6 with a win over Jacksonville. BUT, if the Jets and Dolphins were to tie, they'd both be at 10-5-1. The Jets, having beaten the Dolphins in the first match-up, would get in as the AFC East champ, and the Dolphins would have the #6 seed, leaving the Ravens out.
A longshot, yes, and I don't really expect either Mangini or Sparano to actually set out to tie the game. But it might cross their minds to try running out the clock if either one finds themselves with a long field toward the end of overtime.

My parents have NFL Network, so my father called after last night's game to crow about it. I saw the highlights on ESPN News, and wow, that's what you call lousy defense! :lol
Although I picked the Cowpies since they were the home team and favored, boy, that was just rich. Really, really rich. :evil

Well, crap, I was really hoping to beat you legitimately...
Still, sorry about that. :( I think we can count the late games for you, but not the early games.
EDIT: Or, if it turns out to be better, we can give you the worst record -1. But that should only happen if LD really bombed the late games. ;)

Don't worry about it. Taking solace in that I continue to do well in this game, regardless what the scorepad says. :)

The Titans dominated the Steelers in the second half. They proved they are the best team in the AFC right now. The Chiefs are looking like they are going to blow another close game. Edwards better be fired.
Some wild finishes, Denver losing to Buffalo makes the game with the Chargers for the division. Seems fair to me since the Chargers were robbed last time. Atlanta is in the playoffs and the Jets hurt their chances now they need to win and hope the Patriots lose.

Holy crap, this is without a doubt the single worst weekend I've had since I started playing this game. And there are still 2 games left! ^_^;
For the final weekend of the season, I should just use a dart board or something, no doubt that would be more effective. :lol

Next weekend should be wild 5 playoffs have to be decided. The Charger-Bronco and Dolphins-Jets games should be the two best games (NFL is going to have a tough time figuring out the flex game there). Of course there are other games Cowboys-Eagles, Bills-Patriots, and Giants-Vikings all mean something.

Just saw the announcement that the flex game will be the Broncos and Chargers. I will definitely be picking the Chargers for that game, because the debacle of the game earlier this season must be avenged. In some ways, I feel like the Chargers never quite recovered from that loss, although they played darn good football today.

I will go with the Chargers as well for the same reason, also the Broncos are playing awful right now. Should be a high scoring exciting game too.

Rumor has it that if Tampa Bay loses their last game of the season, there is a highly likely chance that Gruden will be removed as head coach for the Bucs, especially since Monte Kiffin will be leaving as defensive coordinator to serve on his son's staff for a college football team.
Which I've always felt that the Bucs haven't had a really good offense since they won the Superbowl in '03, and that was Dungee's team that Gruden had inherited.

I think it be dumb to fire him. Right now there is going to be a lot of openings.
Seattle, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Kansas City, Detroit, and St. Louis for certain. Dallas, Washington, Oakland, and maybe even San Diego could fire their coaches too. Dungy might retire and if Grunden gets fired that would be a lot of openings.

This one was brutal - there were several playoff-defining matchups this week. Some teams proved they deserve their spot. Others proved they deserve to lose it. There are some very interesting scenarios for next week, but here are the scores that really matter. :)
Liam Jinn: 10-6
Nathaniel K'cansce: 10-6
Dragon: 9-7
Lilaena De'ville: 9-7
Miranda Tarkin: 9-7
Aurelias Kazaar: 8-8
jjwr: 8-8
Ryan Pode: 8-8
Rutabaga: 7-9
Park Kraken: 6-10
Jedi Master Carr: 6-10
Yog: 5-11 (would be 3-13 counting just the picks that were on-time, so I'm giving you the worst score -1.)
And the standings going into the final week:
1. Dragon 159-81 (150)
2. Yog 156-84 (151)
3. Miranda Tarkin 155-85 (146)
4. jjwr: 152-88 (144)
4. Rutabaga 152-88 (145)
6. Liam Jinn 150-90 (140)
7. Aurelias Kazaar 149-91 (141)
7. Lilaena De'Ville 149-91 (140)
9. Nathanial K'cansce: 146-94 (136)
10. Ryan Pode 144-96 (136)
11. Jedi Master Carr 140-100 (134)
12. Park Kraken 134-106 (128)
