So who has been playing around with the new features?
How does your avatar look like and where can I take a picture of my avatar for posting him online?
My personal new favorite feature is the ability to copy games to the HD. The box is much more quiet this way.

I don't think you can take pictures of your av for posting online. Maybe though!
My X-box nick is Lilaena :)

:lol I cannot play Halo, unless you count running into things and getting killed by my 8 yr old nephew as 'playing' it.

Well does anyone have some serious skills in GOW one since I am stuck on the final boss fight on INSANE.

Getting owned by people that are younger than you is the essence of playing Halo. You don't play Halo because it is fun...you play it so that you feel old and mature once you turn off your console in despair.
Oh and you can see other people's avatar/mee if you got to Xbox.com and click on their profiles.

heh thanks. I look almost nothing like that, btw, but that's about as close as I can get with their avatar maker. :lol Maybe if you add 40 pounds onto her. *despair*
And, my hair is longer! :p Its to the middle of my back now, so looooong! I'm getting my Princess Leia hair ready for the Con. ;)

Other than the ability to now download games to your Hard Drive (which to me only seems to reduce noise and not loading times as promised) the entire New Xbox Experience is a sham. Sham I say! The avatar system too closely resembles the Miis from the Wii and the new interface is blah. Its easier to navigate and that is nice, but I hate all the dead space at the bottom of the screen. Who wants to see a lot of gray just sitting there looking useless. Absolute waste of space. If given the choice I would rather stick with the old interface and keep the space on the hard drive that the NXE takes up (128MB).
The ability to download games to the hard drive is a nice feature, especially since my Xbox seems to have difficulty reading my game discs thus forcing me to spend fifteen to thirty minutes just trying to get it to read enough of my Call of Duty 4 disc to let me play the darn game online. Thankfully I managed to get it to read and then downloaded it. Pity is now my hard drive is full. I have the small, stock hard drive that my Xbox came with so now I'm forced to buy the bigger hard drive in order to really take advantage of this feature. Which is kind of disappointing, especially since I don't have the money.
So all in all I think the XBE had good intentions but just copied too much from the Mii and PS3 interfaces. Oh, well. I can live with it. The avatar system could have used more clothing options at launch.
And I go by the tag Karagane for anyone who wants to play Halo 3 or CoD4, which are the only games I play online really.
