Hope all my American kindred are getting ready to stuff themselves on turkey and sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. Today we'll eat enough to feed a third world country on the leftovers!

Things I'm thankful for:
Health for me and my family
Owen
a loving husband
my new camera eeeee
Living near family
despite a downturn this is still a great country
black friday ads
warm kitties in a cool living room
friends online to goof off with!
dumping debt - sold the truck and paid off the jeep yay!
being a stay-at-home momWhat are you thankful for? You do not have to be American to give thanks today... but if you plan on eating turkey you better salute the flag!

:lol*

*I may or may not still be a little tipsy from last night, so apologies if this is funny only to me

Yes, a very happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm very thankful for my wonderful family, and that we are all happy, healthy, and together, this year. Friends, job, wonderful home - there is much to be thankful for.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and stay safe!!!

I'm thankful for a family that loves me, even if they do try my patience at times. And I'm thankful for the space I give myself when that patience wears thin.

I'm thankful for friends that I can rely on to be there when I need to talk things out that are plaguing my mind (salute to Droo for that one!).

I'm thankful for the fact that my stomach is grumbling and just this very second, unbeknownst to myself, mumsie dearest has just walked in with a chippy tea!

Oh, and I'm thankful for my boss at work - he's super!

I wish I'd had turkey.

...though, instead I had fish and chips. God save the Queen! :D

Yesterday was my mums' birthday, and it was probably her best birthday in years. Her business is picking up, she heard from her brother she hasn't talked to in years and she got spoiled all day long. I'm really glad she had such a great day :)

-While I am thankful for my entire family, I am especially thankful to and for my little sister for being a symbol of all that is good in the world.
-I am thankful that despite the stress, I am going to a good school, and looking at other schools for my more advanced education, especially the Catholic University of Lueven!
-I am thankful for the comparatively light tuition of this school as well.
-I am thankful for my friends, those whom I have lost touch with as well as those I speak with and see on a daily basis, and all those here on Fans, even if I seem a bit reserved.

And for everyone's knowledge, the proclamation that began Thanksgiving:

"It has seemed to me fit and proper that (our country's blessings) should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and voice by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to his tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.

Abraham Lincoln

Done at the city of Washington, this third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the independence of the United States the eighty-eighth."

Belated, but I'm thankful for my loving and beautiful wife, and being given the wonderful opportunity to start a family.
