I figured I'd get a jump on this since people may be traveling for Thanksgiving. Here's hoping for some Thanksgiving games that don't suck!

Only one thanksgiving game might be close and that is the Arizona one. Detriot is horrible and they may go 0-16. I saw the rest of their schedule they play Minnesota, at Indy, New Orleans and at Green Bay. It take a miracle to win one of those games. I think Dallas will kill Seattle.

I really hope they do. I have a friend from Detroit who wants the Lions to move to LA and for Detroit to be given an expansion team. I doubt that'll happen since they've got the new stadium and all but still...

I don't see the Lions moving. I still think if a team moves to LA it will be Oakland or SD. Both teams stadiums are up and neither city wants to build a stadium. The NFL wouldn't argue against either team moving since the distance wouldn't be that far.

Well as expected the Titans manhandled the Lions. Man the Lions are plain awful. I think the Titans could have won 70-10 if they had wanted to.

I started watching each game today but quickly turned them off, since each one was shaping up to be a massacre. It just wasn't pretty.

No NFL Network for me, so I have no idea how the Cardinals-Eagles game is going.

Last I knew, Philly was up 21/24-7ish going into the 3rd.

You can always check out http://nfl.com their gamecenter feature is my preferred one.

Well all 3 games were blowouts. Not sure what this says about Arizona. I guess it shows how bad their conference is. I don't see them going far in the playoffs.

Sometimes I use NFL.com for updates, but mostly ESPN News on the teevee.

Wow, I thought for sure the Eagles had imploded for the season, so I was surprised to see the final result. I guess we all were, because none of us picked them to win.

Sol Iman
Nov 28th, 2008, 01:16:13 PM
Actually, we all picked the Thanksgiving games exactly the same. ;)

Of course, the first two were pretty much no-brainers, even though the Seahawks are decidedly better with Hasselbeck back at the helm. I was hoping the Cowboys would find a way to mess it up since I'm visiting with Mitch, who's a Seahawks fan.

I've only been seriously following football for about eight years now, but I don't remember a time when there has been such disparity between divisions. Sure, the NFC East has had some dominant runs, but it's like the NFC and AFC West are the Division 1AA of the NFL this year.

Eee, all three teams got beat by at least a 25 point spread. Referencing a South Park episode, but let's see if the Lions can beat the 25 point spread next week.

Anybody surprised by this headline? In a lot of ways, it didn't surprise me. :rolleyes

^^ Wow. Some people. I am curious to hear how he managed to shoot himself.. :rolleyes

Wait, what? In a nightclub? Why would he bring a gun to a nightclub, let alone misfire it into his own leg?

This gotta be the most retarded injury in the history of NFL.

Edit:

(KFFL) Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New York Giants WR Plaxico Burress (hamstring) accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday, Nov. 28. Burress spent the night in the hospital and the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The team is still trying to gather further information on the incident.

Edit2: The only thing I can think of, he must have carried it concealed, in the pockets of his pants or something, and the trigger somehow went off.

Bad news is, I sucked this week.

Good news is, almost everybody else sucked this week.

That's definitely one of those "no harm, no foul" situations, that's for sure! :lol
