Eric Quinlan

Eric stretched his arms behind his back as he strolled along the Coruscanti streets. Damn he could get used to being on leave forever….that nice fat pension check to back him up would be a nice added bonus. He dug around in a pocket for graciously lent access-key as he approached a building cluster with a grin.
<o></o>
Of course hands down the best bonus would be being able to stay around here with a certain someone; a certain someone who had better be let off of work on time or they’d be late.
<o></o>
Door chiming as it recognized the card; Eric stepped into the modest house, expecting to hear the racket of the urchins Deidera had picked up. But was surprised to hear none, until…..
<o></o>
“Hands up!” Eric froze, feeling something press firmly against the small of his back and slowly raised his hands. A smirk covered his face at the familiar voice and the Imperial feigned desperation in his voice.
<o></o>
“ Don’t shoot. The lady of the house would be very mad!” The pressure at his back lessened as Eric’s assailant burst into a fit of giggling. Whirling around, he grabbed a hold of the scruffy ruffian and tossed the boy over his shoulder.
<o></o>
The boy yelped at suddenly being pulled of his feet like a bag then just broke into as he flailed about. Eric walked on with the into the kitchen of the place in a more-or-less straight line….perhaps with an emphasis on the less….carrying the thrashing child.
<o></o>
“And what is so funny, Nija?”
<o></o>
Halting his tossing about and giving Eric a much needed rest from the fight to stay upright, Nija hung like a loose towel over his shoulder.
<o></o>
“You called Deidera lady!”
<o></o>
Eric grinned and set down the access-card Dee had given him next to the refresher. “That I did, and you will not be telling her that. Will you?” The last statement was definitely not a question.
<o></o>
An evil grin only a child could be capable of crossed Nija’s face. “Uh-huh I am.”
<o></o>
Eric kicked up a toppled chair with one foot and nudged it back to its spot. “Well in that case…” The Imperial reached around his back with his free arm and wrangled with the boy to get the object still clasped in his grip……a difficult feat since Eric really couldn’t really see. However he came out victorious hold a toy blaster. “….I’ll have to tell Dee about you getting a hold of this.”
<o></o>
A sudden change in weight almost caused Eric to topple as Nija did his best to slump, obviously pouting at being bested. “Cheater!”
<o></o>
“It’s not cheating if………”
<o></o>
“AHEM”
<o></o>
Both Eric and Nija faced the kitchen entrance wide-eyed to find the crimson-haired goddess herself facing then. Eric glanced from Deidera to the boy tossed over his shoulder to the toy gun in his hand and both of them broke out into sheepish grins.
<o></o>
“……..hi?”
