Does everybody have some? Are you traveling somewhere or staying close to home? Do you have any traditions for this day - hunting, visiting or watching football or a special movie?

Most of my family is close to where I live (my Mom and Dad are only 3 miles away 'as the crow flies'), so we all congregate at my parent's house. This will be my first year doing the turkey and I'll admit Im a bit nervous about it. Our meal is very traditional - turkey, dressing, mashed potatos, gravy, rolls, etc. After dinner the usual routine had been that the guys retire to watch football and we ladies do the cleaning up (thats on top of ALL the prep and cooking!)....but last year something wonderful happened! The males of the family cleaned up the kitchen! Of course my mother hovered around a bit, directing what did and didnt go into the dishwasher and we had already put the food away, but the gathering and scraping and placement of dishes and the washing down of the counters and stove were all accomplished by those bearing testosterone - it was a miracle!! Im keeping my fingers crossed that lightning strikes twice :lol

So, as the questions were asked.....what are YOU doing for this upcoming holiday?

I'll cook a turkey and some stuff for Christin and I, and I'm sure that we'll do more of the same as a larger family thing. I'm not sure if in-laws are flying in or not, but at the very least we'll go to my folks to eat.

I'd like to go to the firing range around that time just to scare hunters :)

I'm going to be cooking at my place this thanksgiving. Can't afford to fly back home, and neither can Kale, so he's coming over for the weekend. Six Flags, here we come!

We don't know what we're doing yet, but I imagine we'll probably have dinner at our house with the fam, like last year. :)

I'll still be in London, so I'll probably spend it with some American colleagues of mine.

Moving my stuff to my new place, spending time with folks, going out of town to see more folks. I won't be sitting still for a week. And then I start my job.
