So why did Al Davis release his best defensive player? Has that man lost it or what?
I am not sure if this matters but Cleveland is playing at home. Where did you copy that from Dragon?

Rest of my picks later.
Also, DeAngelo Hall was his most expensive defensive player but he was terrible. Definately not worth a million dollars a game. He looked like crap against the Ravens, who don't exactly have a great WR.

And the Browns lose again. The only thing Quinn did differently this week was instead of losing after giving up 24 unanswered, they just were outscored 21-7 in the final quarter.

I just got it mixed up. Sorry about that, I hope that didn't throw anyone off. I honestly didn't expect Quinn to play markedly better or worse than Anderson; I just expected the Broncos to screw it up like they've done so often this season.
Either way, this was tough to call... a classic battle of the stoppable force and the movable object.

I figured the Broncos defense would give up like 40 points and lose. Their defense is horrible.

The Bears look impressive at the beginning of the game - held the Titans offense to a three-and-out, then marched steadily down the field for 75 yards, including a 4th and 1 conversion, to score a TD. Rex Grossman has been making some good touch throws so far.
EDIT: Ahhh, that's more like the Rex we all remember - throw into coverage gets batted straight up and intercepted.

Collins played a great game he won that game for them. The defense also made some critical stops when they needed. The Titans proved they could win through the air.

Was impressive, especially after the Bears so completely took away the running game. No question, you're going to need to put pressure on Kerry Collins if you want to beat this Titans team. Great win by Tennessee.
Meanwhile, the Vikings had a clutch drive ending in a 29-yard run by AP for a go-ahead TD. But I think they'd rather have ground it out longer, because they left 2:22 on the clock. Packers now driving to get into FG range; they've started with a good kickoff return and an incredible catch on a tipped ball to the Vikings' 40. 1:00 to go, and the Packers have 3rd and 7, still outside comfortable field goal range. Quite a game!
Packers are stopped at the 34 with 31 seconds left. It's going to be a 51-yard FG attempt for the win.... But it's no good!!! Vikings will win! Wow, what a game!
Steelers and Colts are playing, and the Steelers start off with a fantastic drive ending in a 1-yard halfback dive by Mewelde Moore for the TD! Nice receptions by Santonio Holmes and Nate Washington to set up the first and goal.

The packers have been a strange team this year. They should be like 7-2 right now. They can't seem to win the close games.

Argh, Ike Taylor undercut a deep throw by Peyton Manning perfectly, but he tipped the ball straight to Reggie Wayne. I am so sick of opposing teams getting so darned lucky. There is no way that should have been complete, and it should have been a pick. >_<
EDIT: Wow, a flea-flicker pass to Hines Ward gets them down to the two-yard line, and then Mewelde Moore takes it in untouched for his second TD! 14-7 Steelers!
EDIT: Well, things have evened out - Reggie Wayne may have benefited from a serendipitous tip on a pass that should have been knocked down, but Marvin Harrison dropped a pass when he was WIDE OPEN in the center of the field. The Steelers D is still playing dominant football.

Not sure what's up with Ben this year, maybe all the sacks early in the season have taken their toll. Those two interceptions were just deadly. Of course, in both cases, it seemed like Santonio Holmes wasn't on the same page with Ben.
I'm also upset that the refs called holding after overlooking several equivalent plays on the Colts' side. This was just a rotten game for the Steelers all around.

No kidding. I drafted him in fantasy because I thought he would be a top 5 QB, but he has been so unreliable, I can't even start him. I can't complain this week though, since I am doing great in pickems and in all fantasy leagues.

I missed most of the second half of the Chargers-Chiefs game because I was on the phone with my sister. But I was still watching it out of the corner of my eye. If I hadn't been on the phone, I think I would have screamed myself hoarse during the last couple of minutes, and especially after the attempted 2 point conversion. Woohoo! :eee

I'm pretty sure Herm Edwards elected to go for two because of that pass interference call, which was an utter invention. He knew his team by rights should have lost on the 4th down try, so he wanted to make it all-or-nothing.
I'm glad a bad call didn't cost the Chargers another game.

The Chiefs can't get a win right now. Well at least they are staying in games maybe that gives the team some hope for next year.

The 49ers look surprisingly good in Arizona so far - up 21-13 at the half thanks to a 104-yard kickoff return by Allen Rossum and a pair of long strikes for touchdowns from San Francisco's latest quarterback Shaun Hill. Hill also had a gutty run for a third-down conversion - he was hit four yards shy of the sticks, and his helmet came off, but he managed to keep his feet under him and dive forward past the line to gain. The play was right in front of the 49ers bench, and it was just the sort of play that can get a team behind a new quarterback. That drive ended in a spectacular leaping grab for an 18-yard touchdown by TE Vernon Davis. An entertaining game so far.
EDIT: :eek
Holy cow, what an ending! A heartbreaker for the 49ers, since they put in such a great effort and created a chance for themselves even after those two costly interceptions, but it came down to a goal-line stand and a questionable decision to send Michael Robinson on a halfback dive from the 2-and-a-half. The Cardinals D filled the gaps, Robinson was stuffed, and the Cardinals win 29-24. Great effort by Shaun Hill and Coach Singletarry. We'll have to see if the 9ers can build on what they started or if the loss will send them back to square one. The Cardinals are running away with the pitiful NFC West division having improved to 6-3. Their three division rivals are 2-7.

I only saw the second half of the game last night, and was shocked when I turned it on and saw how close it was, since I had presumed it would be a Cardinals blowout.
But starting with the last couple minutes of the 3rd quarter, geez, that game turned into a major mess. It was almost comical. And I'm not surprised that the Niners ended up losing. Maybe someday they'll be a good team again...I hope.... :x

11-3. w00t.
And the last couple drives in the MNF game were both awesome and horrible at the same time. I kept saying wow as to how close the score was, and to the fact that every play had a flag thrown. -_-
But really, what the heck was Singletery (sp?) thinking not giving the ball to Gore for that last play!? Come on.
