It looks a lot of fun, but I'll have to wait and see whether or not it's different enough from Eve to make me want to play it.

It does seem a lot like EVE, at first glance.

Presumably there are gameplay features which seperate the two, though. Yog?

The gameplay is totally different. You fly your ship. In Eve it's more like Diablo or single unit RTS.

Yeah, you actually FLY your ship around like a spaceship simulator. Think X-Wing Alliance, Freelancer, Freespace, Wing Commander etc. An analogue joystick would probably be perfect for this, although, I am sure mouse and keyboard works too.

This means you get to dogfight space ships, and have to aim and fire, rather than a target lock with autofire. Completely different type of gameplay, even though they are both in space.

Oh that sounds cool and like it would definitely be more fun than EVE :)

I may very well look into this. Already signed up for the Beta. :)

What I found disappointing about Eve was that you can only fly to landmarks on your map or HUD. You can fly anywhere by double clicking in space but it's at your normal speed as opposed to warp. I wish you could pick a point and warp there - you might find something interesting.

Makes me wish that Star Trek MMO would hurry on along and be a good game as well.
