At my local theatre (the Theatre Royal, 2nd home of the Royal Shakespeare Company :cool), if you are 18-25 you can discounted tickets by queueing up on the morning of the performance. They hold something like 60 tickets back at highly discounted prices, for poor student types :)

I finally finished making the harp, and started working on some wooden letter-openers (if they weren't wooden they'd be proper knives) this morning, since we have the annual St. Martin's bazaar coming up and I found a box of unfinished things in the wood shop. Oh and I went felting last night for the first time, which turned out to be lots of fun - although the bag I made for my recorder got too small for it.

But I'm still trying to move my stuff out of the old apartment and there's now only a week left... and so much left to do. It doesn't seem to end. How on earth did I manage to gather so many things in three years???

I just went from having 100MB of free space on computer to 42.96GB in fifteen minutes. Gawdang, Rosetta Stone takes up a lot of freaking room! I've officially lasted about two and a half weeks not smoking this time, so there's guilt in there. A paper that was due thursday is now due a week from now, so there's relief. Wisdom teeth come out the 14th. Not sure how I feel about it. They told me that I'd be put to sleep and the doctor prescribed me three different pain meds.

They were sweet and all at the office, but man. I've never had surgery before, never had stitches, and the only really bad medical type thing I've ever had was tearing ligaments in my elbow when I was back in 3rd grade.

Getting my wisdom teeth taken out put me down for around one week solid and a second week until I could chew proper food again. My teeth were very hard to get out though. My brother on the other hand had his taken out and was fine the next day.

I have a couple of posts to write but I'm really looking forward to starting a new character today for this (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19449) thread. Also I've been planning a few short stories set in an alternate version of England, a new religion is sweeping across the country and there's plenty of turmoil, and in the midst of it all there's a little boy who has an imaginary friend. It is around him I will focus the first of these short stories.

Dad's 70th birthday is tomorrow so I just now finally got some time for myself after standing in the damned kitchen all day making things, and now my legs hurt, my head hurts, etc...
I have two more internship interviews this week, and just got turned down by one school. Still waiting on another one to get back to me about an interview.
I've still no place to stay for the 3-week internship at the end of April...
And my ex wants to have our daughter this summer after not bothering to call her even once for three months, and apparently thinks I'm just going to cancel our summer vacation trip so he can get his way....

Am I missing something? Yeah, probably.... this week is not a good week.

Had a pounding headache today, took some excedrin which provided only minor relief while I did housework.

It's starting to look like my grandmother will pass away this week, she's had a long battle with cancer over the past three years in which she's become almost completley paralyzed.

If she survives being removed from the ventilator, then she'll be moved from the hospital into a hospice over in Aurburndale. :(

Though my mum got a new job, her salary is decreasing substantially. She made the fair request of asking that I start contributing money to the house, but.. I can't get anywhere to employ me. Every week there seems to be fewer and fewer vacancies advertised, and I guess more and more people applying for them. Right now the prospect of finding a job just seems completely hopeless. :(

This morning Ben announced he's heading back to England at the end of the summer and that he wants to do a six-month split thing with our son, which, really, how is that supposed to work if he's in London and I'm in Hawaii? At least we've both gotten really good at this amicable negotiation stuff so it's nowhere near as horrible as it very well could be.

One good thing about his proclamation was that it came at a spectacularly inconvenient time and was sufficiently overwhelming to warrant a two-hour workout that hurt so bad. It was lovely once it was over and that post-exercise bliss set in. That and a couple of delicious cocktails put things back on an even keel. :)

Life is an interesting gamble with it's twists and turns. I will try to have a good life as best as I am able, just inevitably a bit shorter in the long-run. It will probably be a good ten years or more before it takes hold and the hectic stuff starts, right? Plus they're making advances every day, so who knows? So might as well make the best of it. :)

Relationship with the boy is taking a massive turn for the better since we had a little talk a few days ago (yay!), My arm and a few other body parts are seriously achy/in pain thanks to the doc's visit yesterday (I bruise way too easy...), found out something at the doctor's yesterday that DOES have me rather worried (...might be nothing, but might be something rather serious...have to wait to start testing *grumbles* hate...waiting...), also found out that me and boy might be able to start renting a HOUSE (a rather nice one) for cheaper than the last apartment we were looking at...

So yeah... bit of a rollercoaster. One moment it's insane hope and excitement, the next it's...insane hope and worry. And the other is just...complacent whatever.

Fuck I hate having to wait a month for the first "test" on this stupid thing...

Pissed off at being unable to sleep at a decent time. Stomach pains since last Friday are keeping me up until all hours, to the point where I sleep from sheer exhaustion whether I like it or not.

The doc said on Wednesday that it's a virus, but tablets haven't done anything. I'm not going to the toilet much so think it may be constipation, never had it this bad though.

So my nightly vigils have consisted of playing the odd video game as well as watchying anything I find myself in the mood for. I finally watched the last 3 episodes of 24 Season 1 (OMG!!!) and am working my way through Firefly which I borrowed off a friend from work ('tis fun - Firefly, not work).

Haven't been in work since Wednesday when I came home after an hour due to these stomach pains. Remains to be seen whether I go in on Monday or not. I;m just generally pissed off with my stomach at the moment. It's a bugger not being able to lie in bed comfortably. Like right now, I feel tired enough to want to sleep but just can't. So I'm about to watch a show of some description (I may very well roll a dice to choose between Firefly and Batman Begins.)

Today started out a bit painfully as I slipped (again) and smacked my hand on the banister (again) and had to go get it checked (again). But Jay made it better by buying really delicious organic peaberry coffee and a new grinder and the organic shampoo we use came out with a new line of pomegranate-coconut stuff that smells a-maze-ing and we have a possible buyer for our house who seems really serious, yay!

Got my baby (read as: non-Mac laptop) back today. Hard drive wasn't wiped so WHOO to that...but think I may run a semi-routine reboot on the entire thing soonish just to clear out any cobwebs over the past few years. Might be a pain reinstalling everything but I think it will be worth it.

Seems they had to replace quite a few pieces of hardware but it's all good. Even my wireless works again! (Found that out by accidentally leeching off a neighbor. rofl.)
