Argh, SD vs. Buffalo...this is one of those games where it's hard to pick, because I love both teams. But I feel SD needs the win more, so....

Incomplete pass, incomplete pass, incomplete.... ugh...

B. Johnson 11.8 QB rating. 33% completion 1 pick.

All because of Tony Romo's pinky finger. :x

Edit: N. Folk missed a 46-yard field goal. This is too much.

Edit2: S. Jackson rushed to the right for 56 yard touchdown. Worse and worse.

Edit3: Sacked again. I give up.

Chad Johnson pulled in his first TD against the Steelers since their first matchup in 2004, but the Steelers have thoroughly beaten the Bengals into submission. Cincinnati will start the season 0-7.

Crazy game in Chicago - the Bears scored twice on punting miscues by the Vikings. The Bills win a fight with the Chargers that no one got to see on TV because of a power outage. I wasn't able to follow many other games because I've been enjoying the Steelers' drubbing of the Cincy Bungles.

Yog, I've been wondering - how did you end up a Cowboys fan in Oslo?

Well, one day, I decided Dallas Cowboys have the best cheerleaders, and that sealed my fate as Cowboys fan. They also have an entertaining game, great looking uniforms, and I love that star. Nowadays, I love the Cowboys almost as much as I hate Patriots. It has grown to a passion.

So, does this win against the Chargers make the Bills a legit team in the AFC? ^__^

Dragon
Oct 19th, 2008, 03:02:01 PM
I've been considering them a legit team for a while now. I'm expecting to see them in the playoffs, and I think it's even between them and the Patriots to take the division.

Still, I think their chances would be better if they did something about those hideous away uniforms. :mneh

Those uniforms are clutch, man, clutch! :p

Dragon
Oct 19th, 2008, 04:44:59 PM
They make me clutch my head in agony.

Seriously, these (below) are so much better: clean, bold, simple, they don't look like a ten-year-old's pajamas...

Favre trying to lead the Jets to tie the game in the final seconds, Feely tries a 52-yard FG to tie and misses... and, predictably, the Raiders had called the timeout at the snap. Second try is good!!!

When are coaches going to get a clue and stop doing this?

EDIT: three punts in OT now. How many people want to change their pick to a tie? ;)

The Bills are good but they are below the Titans and Steelers right now in the AFC. A lot of surprises again today. I mean the Colts getting killed by the Packers. They have a tough game at Tennessee next week they could have 4 loses after next monday.

Dragon
Oct 19th, 2008, 05:37:35 PM
Among the surprises: the Bears and Vikings combine for 89 points.

Incidentally, I'm surprised by the NFC South this year. They've got talent from top to bottom, and it's really hard to pick a favorite. As a division, they have the same number of wins as the NFC East, and they've been primarily beating up on each other.

I'm really starting to root for a tie in this Jets-Raiders game. We're down to 2:37 in OT.

Well, check that - old man Janikowski just nailed it from 57 yards, and it would've been good from 65! That would've set up the Jets at mid-field if he'd missed it, but the Raiders win this 72-minute contest!

EDIT: Hmm, Chris Berman, in reporting that the Titans are still undefeated, said that, for Miami, the cork is still in the bottle. I was wondering whether that would persist after last season...

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 19th, 2008, 05:58:53 PM
Well I don't see the Titans going 16-0. They do have two straight at home that they should win. The Colts don't look the same and the Packers aren't that good on the road.

Al Michaels doesn't know how to pronounce "Changeling"...

"And Sunday Night Football is brought to you by the movie... Chang-ling... Changle-ling... is that how you pronounce it?"

I have had two bad weeks in a row. About the season, the AFC looks like the stronger conference right now. They have the two best teams by far in the Titans and Steelers. I give the edge to the Titans because they have a superior ground game with probably the best RB duo in the NFL.

You're right! I should be better cause my score from this week wasn't added on to my total. After last week, I was 53-35. I should be... 62-40. Right up there in a tie for 5th. I thought something seemed off.

And Miranda should be 62-40 as well!

After review, the ruling is overturned...

Sorry about that! ^_^;

And the numbers in parentheses are the win totals from last week. Useful for seeing how the order has changed, and also for catching boneheaded mistakes by the scorekeeper.

Steelers injuries will catch up to them, Big Ben will keep getting hammered and be lucky to finsh out the year.

Titans are tough for sure.

Tough to say but my early guesses at playoff spots.

AFC East - 1. Pats - 2. Bills WC
AFC West - 1. Bronco's 2. Chargers WC
AFC South - 1. Titans
AFC North - 1. Steelers
