What brought him to Aurilia? Well, it certainly wasn't the pleasent view. In fact, Revan found it difficult to see more then ten feet in front of him. All he had for a guide were his instincts, and the glow rod which really did all of nothing against the thick fog. In more then one occassion, he had stumbled over a root here and there. And it was times like this, he wondered what he was doing out here in this Force forsaken land.
But then, memories gave him the grim reminder of why. The general populace of the Galaxy was too foolish, in his eyes, to know what was good for them. His actions brought on imprisonment. And when his time was up, he was indeed released a changed man, but not for the better as things were intended. No, he considered himself more educated instead.
The people didn't know what they needed, and now he did. They needed justice and judgement, yes. But, not the kind that the Jedi could provide. They needed someone to make decisions for them, to create Order in the Galaxy, even if done by force. At the bottom line of his new philosophy, they needed to be subjugated. Sad to say, for peace, they needed a tyrant. Someone willing to do what had to be done.
Revan would see that happen. If not him, then he would help someone else ascend to that position of power, and be right there at their side. That was the new path in life. And, that was where his anger stemmed from. Something even now that drew out that power he needed for success. That even now cut the smallest hole in the fog, as he dwelled upon the past, and what needed to be done.
This was where he needed to be. Whispers and rumors told him of a clan. One that practiced and taught the tool he would need, and in just the way he was best suited to wield it. No compassion, or peace, drove his intent. The Jedi were ill-suited to him. The Empire seemed too political a path to take. No, it was only it darkness he would succeed at anything anymore.
