Ready for some football? :D

Looks like there could be some good games here. Been a few touchdowns already.

Giants are crushing the 'hawks. And Indy has looked kinda inept since the start of the 2nd quarter.

Dragon

Wow, the Seahawks are getting absolutely shelled by the Giants so far...

Both my insane upset picks are going well to this point, though I don't have a whole lot of faith in the Texans to pull this out. I was surprised to see Sage Rosenfels starting; apparently Schaub is out with the flu.

One insane upset I did not foresee - the Dolphins are leading the Chargers 17-3! What the heck is up with the Chargers? They can't decide whether they want to be good or bad this year. Meanwhile, it seems like the Dolphins have discovered the concept of offense.

And the Balty Birdies have just taken a 10-3 lead over the Titans on a Le'Ron McClain halfback dive. Apparently Albert Haynesworth has been helping the Ravens out with some dumb personal fouls. Just keep him from stomping any more heads, please.

EDIT: Texans add another score - that's 27 unanswered points since the Colts took the early 10-0 lead. Steve Slaton is looking like a real draft steal for Houston; he has 91 yards and two TDs on 14 carries so far. Looks like he should keep the starting job even after Ahman Green is back to full strength.

It wasn't Haynesworth but the Titans, CB he had 2 stupid fouls in the the 3rd quarter that led to that TD. It is 10-6 now. The game has really been just about all defense. The Titans have made some stupid penalties and Collins has been the old Collins. I think they might consider putting Vince Young out there after their bye when they play the Chiefs.

Gaaaaaaahh, Sage Rosenfels just did pretty much the worst thing he could've done... After the Texans recovered the Colts' onside kick, up by ten, they called a naked bootleg, and Rosenfels had a huge expanse of grass in front of him to run for an easy seven or eight-yard-gain... but as the defenders closed in, instead of sliding, he tried to LEAP OVER them.

He got whirled around in the air and lost the football, which was scooped up by a Colts linebacker and taken back for a TD.

Okay, the Texans still have the lead. They can just put another drive together and kill this clock, unless, of course, Rosenfels gets chased down from behind and FUMBLES THE BALL AWAY AGAIN.

2:00 warning, and the Colts have a 1st and goal on the Texans' five and down by only a field goal.

Who are these guys, the Browns?

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 5th, 2008, 01:57:06 PM
Colts took the lead the same with the Titans both teams have less than 2 minutes.

The Titans just picked off Flacco and that ends that game.

The Colts survived a scare as well.

Dragon

That meltdown by Sage Rosenfels was epic. Two fumbles which led directly to Colts TDs, then an INT to a wide open safety to kill the last-minute drive. These Colts were down by 17 with 4:30 to go, managed to score a TD on a fourth-down-try, then failed to recover the ensuing onside kick.

The Texans put up 27 unanswered, then gave up 21 unanswered to let the Colts take the lead. What do you say to those guys in the locker room right now?

Yog

What do you say to those guys in the locker room right now?

"You guys suck."

:lol

That Colts and Titans game was reeeeaaally close.

And the Dolphins, Redskins and Falcons win was shocking to me.

Well that's a great way to start the game Cowboys! INT on the first snap, poor Carson Palmer. Go Cowboys!!!

Oh, and Pode isn't gonna be happy, Ravens lose and I sleep too late to post his picks. Oops

Edit: TD Cowboys! 10-0 :D

Haha. That was a great catch by Patrick Crayton, off the hands of Miles Austin, straight into his arms. TD Cowboys!

6-6 with two games to go. Yeesh. Stupid Trent Edwards for getting knocked outta the game. And stupid Chargers for not showing up.

And Roethlisberger throws a pick that is returned for a TD. Whoops

The pass interference on Ike Taylor in the endzone was a bad call. I didn't think there was enough contact to warrant it, but, regardless, the contact came when the ball had already passed over their heads.

Mewelde Moore has been impressive so far as the starting HB for the Steelers.

Edit: :eek Nate Washington actually CAUGHT a PASS!

Steelers up 17-14!

Edit: Heh, Al Michaels is mistaking the Steelers fans' cheers of "HEEEEEEAAAATH!" for boos from the Jaguars fans.

Well, the field goal is really disappointing, especially after Ward dropped a pass in the endzone. Steelers take the 20-14 lead.

However, the Steelers are absolutely destroying the Jaguars on time of possession. Yes, part of it is because the Jaguars scored on an INT, but, other than that, their only trip into Steelers territory was aided by a pass interference call. The Steelers defense is playing dominant football so far.

EDIT: Okay, I can breathe again....

Wow, what a litigious game... lots of penalties on both sides, but the Steelers got several bad calls against them, including a roughing the passer penalty when James Harrison hit Garrard as he was throwing. Then the refs forgot to reset the play clock after the official review of the Steelers' TD, which gave the Steelers six seconds to get up to the line and snap for the 2PC... they didn't get it off, and the refs didn't listen to Ben's protest, so the Steelers had to try it from the 7, and they didn't convert.

Some absolutely ridiculous plays under pressure by Ben to get them into scoring position. I am really glad the Steelers have a bye week now; they need it.

2 point loss in fantasy vs Figrin.. :shakefist

For some reason, every time I play him, it is either a tie or really close.

Wow. I am the only person who picked the Vikings to win this game.

GOOOOOO VIKINGS! :D

(I don't even remember caring about a Vikings game that wasn't against the Steelers before.)
