So, on October 25, my mum is having a Halloween party. She's asked me to look for recipes and ideas for food, decorations, etc. Anyone have any ideas?

She lives out in the country, her house is surrounded on three sides by corn fields. If the weather is good, we'll probably be outside for most of the party. I'm pretty sure we'll have a corn roast too :yum

That's a good question, I haven't really thought about Halloween themed Recipes. After giving it a few minutes thought, two things I come up with right off my head are Halloween decorated or shaped cookies or desserts, and a shredded beef dish spiced with a red sauce that you could call "Human Entrails Zombie Special" or something like that (I dunno, that sounds more like a Halloween Spaghetti type name dish).

At stores like the old Spencers I used to see reusable 'eyeball' icecubes. You can always add decorations like that after the dish is completed. Thats the best Ive got, babe, sorry :lol

Well, I was told to "Look for stuff online!" but I had a bad day and got nothing done.

Dude, NO. Shredded beef? I'm sorry, but Halloween food needs to be sweet.

Yeah that's a good one.... I tried the witch fingers last year and they were a HUGE success with everyone (although they didn't look that detailed anymore after baking).

I also made a meat loaf shaped like a "moster" with a spinach filling, which had tomato sauce around it. Before serving I stuck a knife into the heart of the thing, and showing a bit of the green insides. I served this with "Worm Pasta" which were spaghetti and a mix of courgettes and carrots cut into thin long strips, cooked and tossed in some olive oil.

Oh, and pumpkin soup with bat-shaped melba toast.

And a cake served on top of a piece of fake grass with a gravestone and a shovel which had fake worms crawling out of it....

I also made some green grape jell-o mixed with pomegranate pips which looked a lot like pond slime and toads... especially when served in a metal bucket...

And we had the witches brew complete with the dried ice fog and a frozen hand which was really really effective.

The sauce I was thinking about adding over it would have been a combination of ketchup and brown sugar that would have added a sweet taste.
