Does anyone still buy videogame magazines?
I was just sorting through a load of old stuff and found my collection of "Nintendo: The Official Magazine" from around the time when the N64 first came out. I used to buy that thing religiously, and we also had a subscription to PC Gamer - which was neat because it always game with a little demo disc of games and useful applications.
It got me wondering if anyone still bothers buying these magazines. I still see them on the magazine racks whenever I go shopping, but I wonder why people are willing to pay often extortionate prices when they can get reviews online for free? Especially when the "Official" magazines must have had some positive bias towards all of their respective consoles games.
