I hope this is true. Red Dwarf is one of the few shows (along with Avatar and Dexter) that my siblings and I all agree on and watch together.

This reminds me to accelerate our greedy acquisition of the rest of the series :)
Also to make more chicken vindaloo and beer milkshakes :D

I read about this earlier today. Made me such a happy little camper and I truly hope it comes to pass :eee

I can just imagine how Red Dwarf would look with up-to-date special effects! Realistic lasers and explosions, slick ship designs, computer-generated aliens!
Oh the horror! :p
As long as it's the proper cast and the same cheesy budget-effects, as well as the traditional Red Dwarf wit, I'll be happy.

I wish I could be excited about this, but the last two series of Red Dwarf were just a bit... meh. Especially since they resurrected the whole crew of the ship. The first four seasons are my favorite.

I dislike Season 2 overall - I hated Kryten in it (thank God it was just the one episode!). Robert Llewelyn was a vast improvement on the one-off guy. I don't really have a fave season but I have certain episodes dotted about the entire saga that I absolutely love.
If I had to pick a favourite character, I'd have to say Cat.

'Backwards', from series 3, is probably my favorite episode. I love the back-to-front bar fight :D
