By far, I like post-reset Estelle better than pre-reset. It's not that pre-reset Estelle was bad (she was an excellent Jedi) but this Estelle is just 'better' I think. I really like the character growth from her first thread to encountering Kazaar to Years From Now. It's really, really good. All the Russards are great.

Adelaide has such a different voice from Estelle it's great. She's someone who's been through a lot recently and now really has to depend on herself because emotionally there's no one there right now. I really feel for her.

I really think Morag needs to be used more, to be honest. I know she's a tough character to write, but she's awesome.

And Hera just rocks.

I was following along with Hera up until Jarek disappeared (which was a damn shame), and MAN I loved her attitude. Just the right amount of seething anger at being caught up by something that she felt below her strength-wise at least. You've really got her down pat, and the way that you write with her is smooth and just feels so real. She's such a real feeling character.

I enjoy reading the Estelle threads you do as well, though I absolutely love the interactions between the Russard family as a whole. Old Man Russard I like especially for some reason.

And Adelaide! That one is like an onion, with so many layers hidden underneath that it's impossible to know how far down to the surface you've gone. In the threads you've done with her, the emotion she has is astounding. She really makes you care for her, and about what happens to her.

I've only gotten to RP with Kajeela, and even then, only barely :cry

She's got that sort of sour demeanor and hard-boiled personality that a detective ought to wear on their sleeve, but she's even a bit nastier. I like her moxie.

I occasionally get to browse your Estelle threads too, and I really enjoy the direction you've taken her after the reset. She seems a lot more reassured of herself.

HERA DREN KAST - I love the 'new' Hera, from after the reset. I wish we could see more of her. If you've done anything real recent with her, I think I must have missed it, but I really liked the threads you did with her and the Inquisition. She's simmering with all this "if only I could rip your head off" energy, and just playing nice for the time being. Hera knows how to play the cards she's been dealt and bide her time until the jackpot becomes available. I really want to see her get her powers back and lay waste to her former captors. ;)

ESTELLE RUSSARD - Estelle and Aurelias are a one-two punch. I really appreciate how these two characters who might be considered oil and water by some outsiders have managed to pull together an impressive partnership. Estelle is tougher than she looks, and although Kazaar is the one supposed to be training and protecting her, it seems like she's doing the same for him. You are so prolific with her and I wish I had more time so I could actually read all your threads. :( I enjoy that you and Tay are so comfortable with each other's characters that you can NPC each other in a roleplay... it helps you complete so many more than other people who get bogged down in the minutia of dialogue and movement.

ADELAIDE KASPERIAN-KAZAAR - I haven't read much more than her first RP, but I did really like her initial entrance and how by just showing up she's turned Kazaar's life upside down and changed his relationship with Estelle. Whether he knows it or not. ;)

BAMBI MADDOX - One tough mamajama. Her RPs with Grym Kandle were awesome (boo on him for disappearing again!), and I hope that we can figure out the Black Sun/Black Nebula thing so she can see some more action!

MIRKO SPENDRIM - As a Monk fan I LOVE Mirko. And you've managed to take some Monkisms and give Mirko his quirks, without going so far as to copy the character. Mirko is usually the butt of the joke, but he's good natured enough to live with it. Of course, usually he just doesn't get it. Sometimes ignorance is bliss! He's not so OCD so as to be totally incapacitated, but he is prim and fussy and buttons his shirts all the way to the top. I can appreciate how a personality like that could become one of the better information brokers in the galaxy. I do sometimes wonder how he deals with all the unsavory types that come his way in his line of work.

JASON RUSSARD / OLD MAN RUSSARD - I haven't read much of these two. They must be in the RPs in my 'to read' list. :uhoh

KAJEELA TARRUURRI - I miss this feisty cat. She's deliciously evil, or at least was. I'd love for her to be part of the K.A.R., or whatever those initials were, again. Sasseeri needs some homeworld pressure again. Plus I have these vague ideas for an RP involving Sass, Kazaar and Estelle, and Kajeela would be awesome to mix up in there too.

JONAS T. REMKAH - a firm, strong, right hand man. I know he works for Hera and he's usually always there when she needs something done. I haven't kept up on him, but he seems to be one of the more level headed and capable characters on the board. After all, his boss is a Sith, and he's managed to stay alive for quite a while working for her, so that tells you something right off the bat. ;)

HENRY MCDONNAUGHT - more more more! He's so laid back, I love it.

HARLEQUIN (ALEX COLE) - haven't read enough to comment

MORAG PRIME - haven't read enough to comment

Estelle is one of my favorite characters at Fans, and proof positive that the reset was a good thing (IMO). Whilst she was cool pre-reset, the way you have reimagined her has really made her stand out from the crowd and her stories with Aurelias are easily some of the most entertaining here.

Harlequin - from what I have seen of her so far, I think her future with Barton is going to be a lot of fun to write. :)

I'm not saying much that hasn't already been said, but the Estelle/Aurelias/Russard family RPs consistently make some of the best reading on Fans. The chemistry is so strong and the writing so clean and sharp that it hardly feels like a spontaneous RP.

The fact that you've gone to such lengths to give Estelle a family and to make her family members solid characters in their own right really strengthens Estelle as a character and every story she takes part in. She has a depth of history and relationship that you don't often see in RP characters. The storyline about Estelle's capture and rescue was gripping because it was as much a story about a father trying to save her little girl and a crusty operative trying to rescue his innocent protege as it was about the Rebellion, the Empire, and the criminal underworld.

It's very easy to write RP characters in isolation. You invent a reason for them to leave their families and all home connections far behind, and then you just refer to them in passing where appropriate. You've never done that with Estelle, and I think that's very commendable. Her journey to join the Rebellion resonates because we've seen what she's had to leave, what she's had to sacrifice, and really, what she's fighting for. That sort of depth takes a lot of thought and effort, and it's very commendable.
