Yep, that's right, folks, everyone's favorite Mitch has moved again. After two years in California, I've decided to move on, and I've accepted an opening at my work's office in Fort Worth, Texas.
Currently I'm residing with two other co-workers in a mansioned owned by the cousin of one of them which was just sitting here empty, and I must say, my cat is getting lost frequently in it.
Was a long drive, and I still need to unpack the truck, but so far things are going well here and I hope all turns out well in the future, too. I would say "pics to come," but I have no camera.

Fort Worth eh? You're about a spit away from Dallas, which is where I live. If you'd like to get to know the area, or hell just shoot the breeze, let me know :)

Heck yes, that'd be awesome! Other than my two co-worker roomates, I know next to nobody in all of Texas.
Well, except some furries, but most of them I'm going to be trying to avoid...

Run away from the furries! Except for Edgarr of course.
Glad your move went smoothly! And you're right, that IS a long drive. And, living in a mansion sounds like fun. And, I start too many sentences with 'and.'

Tejas?! I had no idea you were moving. That is a very long drive, glad to know you made it without too much DRAMA.

Things are going well. This place I'm in is AWESOME and I'm only paying $300 a month, plus utilities, for it! Looks like we're going to be here for a while, so I've just installed a ceiling fan in my massive room, so it's much better in here, now.
My big, orange cat, Edgrr, has taken to the new place well, and is enjoying meowing at me constantly to get attention and petting, and he did well on the drive over, too, which was good.
Speaking of the drive, I was driving a big Penske truck with a 22 foot cargo capacity and towing a car, so that was a fun adventure, but it turned out to be really good as I got several story ideas while driving. I really need a road trip every summer, just me driving by myself for hours on end, watching the scenery. It recharges my creative batteries, and lets me really think. No music, no company, just me and the road.
So far the area I'm in is great, and almost every store known to man is here (except Guitar Center, which is bugging one of my roomates, but he'll get over it.) and to my surprise, there's Jack in the Box! YAY! And we have Whataburger instead of In-N-Out, which isn't really a fair trade, but.... I'll live. Weinerschitzel is also gone, but we have the vast improvement of Sonic now, as well as a really good frozen custard place.
Also, me and Kale are now in the same time zone, which is awesome, because he used to be three hours ahead of me and now we can more easily collabrate on things.
On the odd side, I appear to be living in a "dry" section of the county, which means no alcohol sales here, but, not being a big drinker, I'm not too concerned. Also, I killed a black widow spider that crawled out of one of my subwoofer today. That was fun. The thing was huge, too.
Work starts on Monday, and I'll have a lot to do helping set up this new office, and my internet isn't fully set up yet (connecting via my cell phone tether) so I really won't be on much to chat, but I will be checking in every now and again.
And, no, I'm not putting steer horns on the front of my car.
Yet.

Morg: The food ain't bad. I'm going to have a very hard time losing weight... And Dr. Pepper is everywhere! This place is heaven!
Kelt: DUDE! Long time, no see, man! How you doing?
Daiq: Nah, I know how to deal with creepy furries. But, for the sake of everyone's stomachs, I shall not reveal my methods here.
Everyone else: After doing some house-hunting this weekend in the DFW area, I drove over to Lubbock (342 miles east) to go visit Kale, and we got to hang out for part of the weekend. Was good to see him again, and we had a good time. Even got to see the campus at Texas Tech (WOW!) though I was too late to make it to the football game. Still was a great drive, and a lot of fun to hang out again--not to mention I got to eat a burger called the "He-Man Woman-Hater" at a place called "Spanky's," and... it was awesome.
