So the other day I went looking around on Google for some nifty tools for my iGoogle page, and I came upon this one tool called a Writer's Unblock Tool by Mode Room Press. It provides with 5 lines of random ideas.
You can find the thing at http://www.moderoom.com/writers-idea-bank/index.htm
Anyway, so here are a bunch of the rather weird lines. I can only say that I attempted following one of those suggestions so far, the others are a bit too wacky.
two thieves raid a dead man's tom,
with a terrible memory.
light dances on the crests of the trees;
a woman is hissing like a roasting lamb,
while the insomniac holds a candle in the dark.
two chinese lovers are tavelling to Europe
with a case of chinese gunpowder.
the clouds drip rain like eyes that cry;
the people fill their mouths with good bread,
while the city of athens burns.
a man is pawning stolen jewellery
with a broken mandolin.
the sky is of sweet buttered cream;
the children play in the sticker bushes,
while vultures peck at the remains.
Reword an old children's rhyme
with a giant cockroach.
a gentle snow begins to fall;
the scoundrels line the wharves
while a prisoner contemplates Proust.
And the best yet:
a german barmaid is dancing wildly
with torn toenails and a punctured lung.
the sky is of sweet buttered cream;
the dentist is high on gas,
while a madman demands marriage of a cabbage.
