I signed up for it on opening opt-in day. God am I hoping to get in so I can leave Live servers behind.

Did the Beta for this open yet? I never heard anything back about it, though I'm not that bothered... kind of lost my interest in WoW for the time being.

Beta has been up for several weeks now. The latest push added lvl 80 pre-made toons for people to use if they didn't want to do a character transfer to the beta realms for leveling (the main idea being so that people could quickly get access to the introductory raid content for testing). Beta invites are pretty much done at random.

Anyway, MMO-Champion has done a good job of keeping up on the changes taking place in the beta, so if you want info on what WotLK will have to offer, it's a good resource.

Looks like the unofficial release date for the expansion is November 13th.

Just restarted the whole WoW thing and did the "Invite-A-Friend" ...leveling is INSANE... grouped we were level 7 before leaving the beginning area. GROUPED...3x the XP...good stuff!
