Ok, here some reviews to start. Will edit with more when I can remember what I have seen, and confirmed what are 2008 releases (release dates vary by great amount here compared to US).

Iron Man - See it! (5/5)
Arguably one of, if not the best in the comics / superhero genre. Awesome action, great story, great characters - highly recommended.

Forbidden Kingdom - See it! (4.0/5)
Entertaining and humorous Kung Fu fairy tale with Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

--------------

John Rambo - Rent it! (3.5/5)
Outrageously violent and ridiculous, yet high seat tilt factor. On par with First Blood and much better than II and III.

Indiana Jones 4 - Rent it! (3.5/5)
Fun and better than Temple of Doom. The OTT CGI action sequences and Lucas script is a downside though.

Cloverfield - Rent it! (3.5/5)
Exciting and experimental. The shaky cam, non believable plot + so so acting makes it a rental, however.

Stop-Loss - Rent it! (3.0/5)
Stellar performance by the cast. A moving dramatization of an important subject. Although, it tries too many things at once.

21 - Rent it! (3.0/5.0)
It's based on true events, and the subject is interesting. Unfortunately it's only loosely based on what happened.

--------------

10,000 BC - Skip it! (1/5)
$75M of cringe worthy awful. CGI and hilarious (bad) acting turns quickly into a snooze. Did Uwe Boll direct this?

Yeah 10,000 BC was pretty bad. I rented that the other night I was glad I didn't see it in theaters. I loved how they showed them building the Pyramids about 6000 years before they even built a small one.

Yogs! How in this world could you watch Wall E in Europe before August? I hope you did not do the same stupid thing that tempts me to do...instead of waiting to see it on the big screen.

The answer is yes. I was curious what the fuss is about. It's currently the only way to see it now. But hey, if a crappy cam can impress me, it bodes well for the theatrical release. Btw, let's keep comments to the other thread. LD could move this maybe.

I was tempted to do the same thing, Yog... but the more I hear about it, the more I want to hold out.

I lost to the temptation of my dorm's file server...WALL-E is great and I love the fact that most of the sound effects were done by the same guy that made SW's sound library one of the best in movie history: Ben Burtt rocks!
