Wall E should be an interesting film to guess, it really has a wide range. It could open as low as Ratatouille with like 50 million or could do Nemo type numbers and make 75-80 million.

I think this will be decided by the WOM. It could even go up to 100 million if people do not mind that there is not much real dialog in this flick. The less the people know about this the more will come on the first day and deppending how much the first wave gets along with this fact the movie could start a landslide.
The reviews on the IMDB are good so far but those guys are movie geeks. In the end it will all come down to how much kids and their parents like this movie because in the end it is a family film.

I am pretty excited about Wall E since in my opinion it is the first real family film this summer. Kung Fu Panda might be too much Jack Black for some families.
So I think I will go somewhere between 80 and 90 this week. I hope Wall kicks some "stuff" at the box office and gets his EVA in the end.

Friday estimates
$23,300,000 WALL-E
$18,764,000 WANTED
$6,640,000 GET SMART
$3,450,000 PANDA
$2,813,000 HULK
$1,870,000 GURU
$1,415,000 INDY 4
$1,170,000 SEX
$1,160,000 HAPPENING
$975,000 ZOHAN

Great for Wall-E could do anywhere from 65-70 million. Has a great chance at 300 million and could still win the summer since I don't see IM or Indy making more than 318. Wow for Wanted. I was thinking mid 30's because it was R and looked like a Matrix rip off. It will probably do 45-48 and has a chance at 150. Get Smart is holding well I think it being the only decent comedy in the marketplace is helping it. It could make 150. Poor Hulk it might barely pass the first one at this rate.

Well, I don't believe for a second that Wall-E will have a lower than 3.0 multiplier this weekend. This is exactly the kind of family movie that has great multiplier, and the way it is being received is incredible. It is getting an average of A- among yahoo users and 96% at Rotten Tomatos. Pixar movies always have great saturday and sunday numbers.

Well it could be a little front loaded, Ratatouille for example had a 2.9 multiplier. Wall E would do 67 million with that. It could top 70 we will see.

I am disappointed by Wall-E saturday number. It is actually a drop from friday. I guess a lot of people rushed out to see it opening day.

I saw WALL-E today, and without a doubt, it's one of Pixar's best movies ever. For an animated kid's movie, it's actually very adult and mature, and very affecting as well. It's pure magic. :)

I think there was a lot of rush out for this film. I had a feeling there was some frontloading going on. I expected 65-68 actually, but it must have been more frontloaded than I thought. Still, I think it can do 275-285. I don't think it will have the legs to be #1 for the summer. So I guess it is down to the Dark Knight to try to do.
