Some of these are terrible. I'm not surprised at the number one choice, either.. I spent that whole movie thinking about how blatant the product placement was!

The number two choice is pretty obvious, but I can't believe that Demolition Man rated lower than it :)

I don't feel like the product placement in Bond is that obnoxious, for some reason. I don't know, maybe it's because they have been pretty consistent in what they endorse or because I can imagine the Bond character (at least pre-Casino Royale) showing off gadgets and such.

Using name brand items in a movie isn't obnoxious to me. I mean, its not believable that everyone uses generic items. ;) Demolition Man however was pretty obnoxious in their use of Taco Bell, and I do have to agree with Converse in I, Robot. :p Obnoxious!
:p Sometimes product placement is just SO OBVIOUS its like getting slapped in the face. I've seen a few movies like that but can't think of anymore at the moment.

Pre-Brosnan, it wasn't so bad. I mean, we all know that James Bond prefers Aston Martin cars, Dunhill cigarettes, Walther handguns (instead of Beretta, which was his preference before Dr. No), and Dom Perignon champagne, but with Brosnan, it got even more brand-centric, and sometimes bafflingly so.
The switch to BMW in Tomorrow Never Dies caused a huge stir, and there is the ever-present Sony tech, everything from the Vaio to Ericsson, etc. Brosnan brought about the Smirnoff (what the hell?) preference, as mentioned, Craig non-subtly proclaimed a preference for Omega.
It's not nearly as obnoxious as Demolition Man, but it's more pervasive I think.

Demolition Man should have been #1 I mean Taco Bell must have spent a lot of money for that. I didn't get the Harry Potter one. I didn't even notice what sneakers they were.

^ It's pretty obvious that the shoes in HP are Chucks/Converse.
Does anyone remember Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes and the cheesy product placement they did? Or am I the only person who actually remembers and admits to remembering that movie? XD

Unfortunately, just at this point, the low-budget movie (http://everything2.com/title/low-budget%2520movie) runs out of funds. We see a shot of the director and the staff arguing about this, when Matt suggests using product placement to fill the finacial holes in the budget. And so the next few scenes of the film the film are filled with shameless product plugs, such as a new Pepsi labcoat (http://everything2.com/title/Pepsi%2520labcoat) for Gangreen, a scene in a shop which serves no purpose other than plugging various products, and a race scene used to plug their vehicles. Note that all of these are excisting products, so the placement is real.
