1. Get Smart - $40.38m
2. The Incredible Hulk - $26.78m
3. The Love Guru - $22.20m
4. Kung Fu Panda - $$20.85m
5. The Happening - $13.80m

The Love Guru is the wild card this weekend - it could open up decently in 2nd or bomb out completely. Why on earth they decided to put it against Get Smart on the same weekend I have no idea. Unfortunately it could steal away some of Get Smart's audience, which is why I've gone a 40m opening.

Get smart could still top 40. It should have great legs though because there isn't another big comedy until late July (I am not counting the awful looking Meet Dave). Love Guru bombed and it deserves it. It looks like it could be the worse film of the year. The Hulk sure isn't showing good legs. I am surprised really considering it is getting better WOM. Maybe it was too soon to try a restart. It will probably finish around 140-145. And wow at Iron man. Its legs has been unreal. I am not sure if Indy will top it for the year. Probably the only two movies that can are Wall E or The Dark Knight.

I'm terribly sorry to see The Incredible Hulk taking such a drop, because it's such a good movie. And remember, I'm someone who swore I wouldn't see it until the last second and am now very happy I did see it.

Saw Kung Fu Panda today, and it was one of the most miserable experiences I've had in a theater. Little girl of about 2 was very bored and expressed her boredom by shrieking, screaming, and running throughout the theater. Her parents apparently were so determined to see the movie that they did very little to control her...apparently their idea of trying to control her was to take her to the back of the theater and let her run around and scream back there. I really don't understand how people seem to think that just because they paid for their tickets, they can let their kids act up and disturb everyone around them. My father usually goes to animated movies with me but because he recently had surgery, he's not up to it yet...I'm so glad he wasn't there, because as infuriated as I was, he would have been 10 times worse. Even when the usher came through to do his regular check on the theater, he just walked past them and didn't say anything. I can't even go rate the movie at Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, and the other usual places where I rate them because it was so tainted by this whole experience. But I have to say, in the 15 or 20 minutes I saw before little missy started putting on her show, I was kind of bored myself and wondering what all the hoopla was about.

I swear, it was almost enough to make me never want to see another children's movie in a theater ever again. :shakefist

I have never had a child that bad near me. I have heard children screaming in the theater but usually the parents take them outside. I am not sure about Kung Fu Panda, it doesn't really appeal to me. I am really waiting on Wall E. I am going to see that next weekend. I was going to see Get Smart this weekend but it didn't happen, maybe I will see it during the week.

I'm planning on seeing Wall-E next weekend, but like I said, I'm a little nervous about seeing another kids' movie after what happened today.

I'll rent Get Smart, I usually don't bother with comedies in theaters since they usually play just as well at home.

But I'm going to be seeing a lot of movies coming up...Wall-E, Hancock, Hellboy II, The Dark Knight...heck, I'm even going to see the new Mummy movie, although I know it will probably suck. Oh, and Clone Wars for sure. Plus my mother wants to see Journey to the Center of the Earth. So need to save my pennies for tickets! :)

I am actually going to end up seeing more movies in theaters this summer. I have seen 4 so far. Last summer by this point I saw two. None of the June releases outside of Ratatouile interested me. And I ended up waiting on that. I still want to see Wall E, Dark Knight and probably Clone Wars for sure. Still could see Get Smart. i am not sure about Hancock. I might wait on that.

Kung Fu Panda is great if you're a fan of Jack Black...probably not so much if you don't mesh with his sense of humour. If you liked Shallow Hal and School of Rock, then its probably something you'll get along with: if you didn't, then I would definately steer clear.

I was surprised about how little they made use of some of the names on the voice cast, though: Jackie Chan voiced Monkey, and Lucy Liu voiced Viper, and neither had particularly memorable lines or parts. I suppose its a good sign that you don't instantly recognise the people behind the voices, but it does make you wonder why they bothered: surely some other voice actor could have done as good a job? Or were they just attatched to add a few more famous names to the venture?

I saw that and heard they didn't do much in the movie. It could be they cut there stuff out or just cast them to put some more names in the project.

You picked Kung Fu Panda second. Estimates had that second but actuals had The Hulk second. I was surprised that it beat it out honestly.
