I was down at Staples buying some ink pens, when I noticed a helicopter hovering overhead and a state trooper stopped at a traffic signal, so I think to myself, probably a traffic accident. But when two or three more helicopters show up, and they are all News helicopters, I figure something big is up, so I sort of idle over there and see the State Trooper is actually blocking one of the entrances into the Lakeland Square Mall.

Come to find out later, there was a shooting inside the mall. Inside the Piccadelly resturant apparently. From what we know so far, two men and two women walked up to a guy sitting eating, and shot him without saying anything, so it sounds gang related so far.

I'll be posting updates as I learn more.

I live in Lakeland FL.

Here is an article on the story -

And ignore the comments. A lot of people in Tampa are racists.

That's nothing - we've had COPS filming in our backyard (literally) and people get shot all the time just blocks from our house. (okay well, at least four times so far this year)

Wait a minute, this isn't something to be proud of. :uhoh

The comments are actually far more interesting than the article...
