View Full Version : Grabbing myself a future Empress

Yeart Quenn
Jun 6th, 2008, 05:10:29 PM
Yes, you've heard right.

But let me introduce myself first: Yeart Quenn. MOFF of Kuat and the surrounding systems. Rabidly anti-alien, anti-rebel and pretty much anti anything that isn't Imperial and/or Kuati. Thinks he is fiendishly clever and otherwise also has too high an opinion of himself.

Anyway. I control the Kuat Drive Yards by way of having the last say about every small thing that happens on my home planet. But controlling a few sectors and a major shipping yard doesn't do it for me; I want more. And that means - grabbing myself the Imperial throne.

Now, I'm not stupid no matter how inflated my ego is: I know where the wind is blowing and it seems to be blowing in the direction of instant death for anyone who doesn't do what the Inquisitoriate says these days. And seeing that there's a handy tool that seems to be getting an earful of the Inquisitors these days, maybe it's time I grabbed that tool myself. Because I have no intention of letting the Inquisitoriate put their puppet Miranda on the throne and rule from the shadows - no: she's a pretty face but a woman shouldn't be ruling an Empire. So it's up to me to seize my chance: I need to charm her and make her my wife, then I get the throne, and with the combined might of two large sectors we can see to it that the Inquisitoriate learns its place.

In order to win over the charming Miss Tarkin I've had a new ship built for her, an Empress-class Star Destroyer (I'm sure Karl will be nice enough to post the stats for it because he came up with them) that is a completely new design. Well, mostly. It's a ship befitting an Empress (she doesn't need to know that I plan to rule in her stead).

Anyway, that's the plan. So no one go crazy if you see strange new ships or read about me "knowing" about Miranda being up for the throne. I don't really know, I am just doing educated guesswork mixed with an unhealthy dose of megalomania.

Anyone objecting?

You can't have her! I want her! :mad

Miranda Tarkin

:lol

You DO realize that even if this crazy plan worked, he does not get the throne through marriage :p

With that said, Empress class star destroyer. my inquisitors love me and I love them! I also think this will be completely hilarious to play out.

EDIT - Oooh. People fighting over me :smokin

Not to be a spoil sport This ship's stats have not been posted. So it doesn't exist. How can you build something that doesn't exist.
Just kidding. but It has always been in the past a ships stats must be posted first and the people who look at them can comment and make sure it is feasible. The Rebels are using Canon ships. While I don't disagree with the Empire making new classes I would like to look the design over since it is most likely me who will have to deal with it.
Thanx

Bahh... technicalities! I'll of course see to it that you, as merely a woman, will have to let me take the throne.

:evil *deluded*

Oh and Reshmar - yes I'm aware of that. Karl said he'd clear it with you first - heck, this could pretty much be an old scow refixed and made to look grand and given a new classification, for all that this character cares. He just wants something to make a certain point with Miranda, namely to convince her that the ship's class is symbolic for what she would be if she'd agree to be his .... errrr.... wife.

Its my rebel duty to throw a wrench in the Imperial works as much as possible. I have looked over the stats. Thax Karl. They are fine. Its a pretty ship worthy of an Empress.

But would anyone be opposed if I took over the Brawl as my personal flagship? Perhaps I could execute Zsinj when he tries to go rogue warlord, and replace him.

Thats a big jump from a Vic to a SSD.

I would be opposed.

One: Do you really need it? No. I think not. You can write something wonderful without having a SSD. Prove you can handle an ISD before you go on to the big guns, sir.

Two: What's your rank, anyway? And who let you have it?

SSD's are reserve for very veteran Imperial members. Khendon is an EXECUTOR and he doesn't even have a SSD. He has a GSD and ISD.

Work your way up, it's more fun.

I would agree to a NPC SSD. Say a large battle caould have one in it but as someones flag im not sure. I dont like the idea of a SSD I can't Kill
Mabey a battle where the SSD is the objective for an assault.
Im not as much worried about the ship itself. We can always put a fleet together to match it. Its just the idea.
The Empress' new ship is 3200 Meters. Which isnt that big in the world of imperial ships. But it is the New Flagship of the Empire.
For now most ot the fleet engagments are small with twenty ships or less and usually only one or two destroyer class ships.

1) I do need it. The toilet facilities on the VSD and ISD's just aren't adequate enough.

2) Grand Admiral. Some guy who umm...yeah, he's like right over there somewhere.

Oh I plan to though. In no way was I serious about moving directly from a VSD to an SSD. My next command, I was thinking about a Turbulent class destroyer, if I can find stats somewhere for it.

Whats wrong with Canon ships? An imp MKII is a match for all but one of the Rebel ships. A Tector could be a good choice if you dont like fighters. have a escort carrier with it and your set.
As far as the Turbulent it isnt 40 ABY. Ships from Legacy wouldnt be active yet.

Im not opposed to having an SSD in a battle. but normally only Grand Admirals and vader had one. and then they were part of an oversector fleet escorted by 24 star destroyers and 1600 smaller vessels. To be honest I would rather you have a sector fleet with 6 Imps then An ssd. But from time to time an ssd would make for a great battle.
After my fleet is wrapped up at Sullust, Lisanna, and Sarapin we are hitting Kashyyyk. Lets say its a imperial trap and you can NPC a SSD loned to you for that operation. Now I can see using one like that from time to time.

The reson the site reset was partially to get ride of all the crazy tech of the Empire. I like Canon ships. and if the Empire continues to make new ships before long we will bein the same position as we were with the rebels using canon ship while the empire has new site made designed ships which we have no chance of fighting.

The rebels are still using MC-80a's we havnt even made B's yet, which will change soon but Im trying to fallow a sorta canon way of designing new ships. A upgrades vic mabey a mkiii would be almost the same thing as a Turbulent. mabey A Tector MKii or Imp mkiii now something along that would be wonderful I can see one ship being modified with better stats.

The answer is basiclly on the ships list Blades made.
http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14693

If you guys want to us a SSD at Kashyyk for the trap thats cool. but as a personnel ship it dosnt make sense unless the person is a Grand Admiral.

Back to this one.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Moff Yeart Quenn has a telbun - me. I'm strictly there to assist him in his work, give birth to his future children and act as their surrogate mom / nanny / teacher and not their mother at all. It frees the poor guy up to make political marriages / alliances without any messy problems about children of inferior intellect and such...

Actually, most telbuns are MALE since Kuati society is matriarchal. But during the Empire they had a male leadership so it figures he'd have a female telbun.

This is Imperial Command.

Somethings has gone dreadfully wrong here. Where is the order and civility? Imperialism seems to have degenerated to barbarism overnight.

I don't know what you folks do in your own private forums, but just because this is labelled back room does not mean you can come on in, make a trashy mess, and feel safe in knowing no other community members will see it. That said I do know most of the active community has some form of access here. I want to make it known that this isn't an OOC section like the Barracks or a darker haven such as Meras.

Edit: Having read that over I realize it's a tad harsh and hypocritical, but keep it cool with that kind of fun. The Barracks is there for the jokes.

O_o

I wasn't aware that occasional idle and silly banter wasn't allowed in here just because there's "Imperial Command" written over the forum.

My mistake - I've been in Imperial groups since I first joined this community back in 2000, even run my share, and there was always that sort of silliness allowed - heck, sometimes it was what held the group together because they could engage in stuff like that but no one else could barge in.

But hey - I can learn differently. So no more silliness from me. Sorry.

Imperial Command may be written over the forum, idle and silly banter for the most part are welcome, but keep the bulk of it in the Barracks. If it wasn't allowed I'd have jumped on Kraken for his first comment, which was down right disgusting. :yum I was only trying to establish that there has to be a limit of rebelious activity. :hat

Anybody who wants to get in on it, let me know.

There's only a prologue so far which has the Moff finding out that the ship is ready and consequently preparing to leave for IC, and another Kuati finding out about the Moff leaving, but the next bit will have him taking command of the ship.

Anyone want to play captain of the ship? I don't like NPCing things.... especially if it comes to captaining capital ships. I might have had a char or five in the Imperial Service ever since I started, but I was always ... on the ground.

Well I've got the Moff saying that he has orders to build ships, and that these orders come from someone higher up than Park Kraken. OOC I thought it might be a good idea to ask if my assumption that there's someone higher up in the imperial military hierarchy than your character was correct - or not, in which case I'd have had to do a quick edit.
The Moff is an arrogant, pompous fool who has an overinflated idea of his own status, so he thinks dealing with anyone lower than the top bunch is beneath himself. Hence he treats Park like a child who needs to be told what he can or can't do, and who - in his view anyway - clearly is wrong.

I mean I know there's the Empress and all that, but who would really have the ultimate say in what kind of orders are placed with KDY right now (since the Empress only goes public on wednesday and this is taking place before Yearty goes to visit her)?

KDY shipbuild orders would come from administrative and HQ offices on capital worlds, like Coruscant. That is ultimatly the path Park will pursue when getting the permission he needs to start up the program, contacting some of his old friends when he used to be a paper pusher in the HQ offices.

Okay, about bloody time to wrap up this thread. I'm planning to do a little short thread detailing the time between this thread and when I depart on the Dominion for the Empress's Honor Guard to Coruscant.

You already want to wrap it up? I thought we could possibly find a high-ranking KDY engineer who lets himself be pulled onto your side, then convinces some other engineers and then they put it to the Moff as a sort of lucrative side-line that no one really needs to know about.
I figured they would propose an idea to the Moff about using Rothana heavy engineering's yards for this, since nothing really gets done there anymore, and it's about time someone found a use for it again. This could turn into some sort of elaborate plan to keep it totally secret by using Rothana's general state of neglect and unimportance to keep the newly refitted fleet of ships a secret from the rebs, etc....

Well I didn't know if you wanted to get involved in the KDY engineering and planning phase of the thread or not. I mean, would Yeartel be following us around keeping an eye on me or would you be playing the part of the engineers or something?

EDIT: *Note to self: read entire post before replying*

The Rothana idea sounds absolutley superb.

The moff wouldn't follow you around but the telbun would. I'm asap at technical stuff so I dunno if i could play an engineer convincingly. Would you play one?

Okay, we'll keep it going.

Your turn to post. You can either post as the Moff having afterthoughts of the meeting, or of the Telbun escorting me on my way.

Actually, let's do this -

Telbun post for escort
I post, requesting time in my quarters
Moff posts, reflecting on meeting
I post, heading out to KDY engineers
Telbun posts, leading me on our way.

Sound ok?

It'll be a day or two before I can post again. I'm horribly behind on posts in other threads, and I have to go to three christmas markets this weekend, too!

Okay I posted.... It might not quite be what you had in mind, but I figure nothing says sadistic, self-absorbed bastards more than his behavior right now....

I think I'm actually looking forward to having him crushed a little....:evil

I love your character right now. He's so sadistic, I'm giggling like a little girl right now. Hee hee.

Okay, I'll be working up my next post. Should be up by tomorrow or the day after.

EDIT: And....it is your turn now.
