So, someone thought it was a good idea to let Frank Miller make a "The Spirit" movie.

This someone needs to be shot. Frank Miller is the 100% wrong choice, and he's taking comic greatness and just making it look like another Sin City. I am not happy. Not happy at all.

I mean, P'gell isn't even in it! Not cool!

Well the main 'problem' with it, is the fact it's Miller 'interpretation' of it. I have no doubt Miller adores Eisner's stuff, but I agree, some people shouldn't certain stuff.

Unfortunately, I never read 'The Spirit' so I don't know if I'll see it.

No one should to their "interpretation" of The Spirit. They should do "The Spirit." It was perfect on its own, and cannot possibly be made better by updating it. This is proven by the crap-tastic new Spirit series of comics from DC.

And, Samuel L Jackson is playing The Octopus! No no NO! All wrong! He's the farthest possible actor from what would suit that role!

You're not the first person to say that either. Isn't 'The Octopus' never actually seen in the comics?

Correct, his face is never seen. Just that trademark glove, and eventually that extended to his interesting coat, but his face was never seen.

But, why SLJ doesn't work is because of The Octopus's attitude. He's cool, calm, quiet and devious. Very cunniung, very understated. Jude Law should have played The Octopus, in my opinion.

But the biggest question is, no P'gell? What the heck? Why not? Why have all the other Spirit gals, but not THE Spirit gal?

Could be something to do with Darwyn Cooke's revival of 'The Spirit' couple years ago. Don't look at me.

He did great with The New Frontier, but his Spirit was dismal. Almost no one who had read The Spirit liked it, and it had crappy layout.

Eisner was a god a layout, nobody could top him.
