I'm excited about Marvel producing its own movies. :D Captain America will be interesting. I wonder who they'll cast!

Not so excited about: Spider-Man, the Musical

Say no to Spidey Musical.

The Cap, Thor, Avengers, and second Iron Man movies will all rule. Ant Man is such a loser I can't imagine a movie about him being any good.

Its being made by Edgar Wright of Hot Fuzz fame. Suffice to say, I'll suspend my disbelief for him. :)

I have Edgar Wright as a friend at MySpace and subscribe to his blog, but I don't remember him posting anything about this. I also have the utmost faith in Edgar, so I trust him to do a good job. :)

As long as Marvel's future movies are as terrific as Iron Man, we're in good shape! :dance

If the casting is good and the script is good then the only thing that'll be bad about it (for me, anyway) is that I detest Ant-Man, even more than Daredevil and Elektra.

Very obvious Marvel is taking the in-house line of movies in the Avengers direction. Every one of those movies is an Avengers character or the Avengers movie itself. Should lead to all sorts of fun crossover goodness.

Great news. Shame we have to wait so long for all of these!

Who's taking on the role of Frank Castle in this new installation? I hope Tom Jane reprises it. He did an excellent job.

And I agree: Hank Pym is a pissant.

And I'll willingly wait for these movies, so long as the do them justice.

Sry people but I still do not get what is so special about Captain America. Ok he wears an American flag and he is "das uber soldat". But what makes people so excited about him?
I must admit that I do not know much about this guy except that he is a master in Nazi slaying and this sounds like a lot of fun but somehow I do not understand why he is still so popular even 50 years after WW2? Is there still a place for such a superhero in this century?

There are rumors that Marvel has a short list for Captain America and one of the names is Matthew McConaughey. I am not sure about him, he has the body and looks but his accent would never work. I was thinking Mark Walhburg myself.

Ugh. Pleeeeeze not McConaughey. Anyone but him. I'd rather Jackie Chan over him.

Well he is a boy scout like Superman, I like the character but I like how he stands for what he believes in. Also he isn't really a totally pro government person. He has thought against the U.S government several times, most recently during the whole civil War crisis. He is more for freedom and liberty than anything else.

Same could be said about Iron Man...its just a guy in a suit.

There is a new guy playing Punisher, there were too many issues with the production and Jane felt like he was being jerked around too much so he bailed.

A shame really; Jane was just awesome in the role....hopefully they'll make another excellent choice, like they did with Stark/RDJr.

And I think that perhaps Edward Norton might actually make an excellent Bruce Banner. So maybe this one won't have the stigmata the other film had with most. Honestly, I liked it for what it was: a screwy movie about a nutbag character who's a raging monster trapped within a doctor/physicist. Very Jekyll/Hyde-ish.

I don't know that 'more Punisher' is a good thing - the first movie was awful!!!

The 1989 version is the (almost) worst piece of crap I have had the displeasure to view.

Come and get me, I'll be waaaaaaiting! And I'll kick your bum to next week until you agree with me too.

Rent Transmorphers. Suddenly the '89 Punisher adaptation won't seem so bad.

Totally agree. I'm surprise to even see his name on the board. I rather see...hmm, idunno--even Vision would have a better story. Ant-Man will be a blow to their endless successes since no one knows him. Cap, Thor and Iron-Man are names that transcend the comic book genre...not as much as Spidey, but definately worth the time of day for any joe walking down the street.

I think the success of Iron-Man is probably encouraging Marvel to branch out into lesser known superheroes, since he wasn't as widely known as the likes of Spiderman but has still managed to be very successful.

I think if Hulk does good even more movies will come into play, because they have been trying to do Hulk right since before I was born.

RAWR!!! O_o

Maybe they could do something with Moon Knight. That might be good, even though my knowledge of the 'lore is sketchy at best.
