I *am* a graduate (!)

Yup. As some of you may be aware, I'm currently in the final year of a bachelor's degree in English Literature. I have just under a month left before my final exam, and (fingers crossed) I should be graduating on July 18th.

On top of exams and such, I still have a project or two to work on, so I thought I'd just post a quick note here to explain why I might be a little scarce in the upcoming weeks. I'll be around, undoubtedly, but just not as much.

It did feel pretty great. Once I hit 9000 and knew it was coming to an end, I got so hyperactive. I've still got a couple of things to do before my degree is totally done, but nothing compared to that beast of an essay.

I wasn't really totally prepared for it, but it went okay! The questions weren't too hard, and I managed to use Seven of Nine and Trinity (The Matrix) as valid examples. :lol

I think the question I wrote about was on 'cyborg feminism'... something about how the cyborg is a deviant figure, signifying the ability to embody both sides of a binary concept - e.g. natural and man-made, feminine and masculine - and how they were stronger because of this.

Or something like that :huh The other question was about Aileen Wuornos and how the media represented her.

Congratulations! Just three more weeks until the verdict is in. Duhmdudaaahhh! ;) I'm sure you did fine.. If you can manage to survive the exam/essay process, then I'm sure the fates will pull together and push you through.

I need just a few more credits to get my bachelors degree,myself, but life seems to keep getting into the way, one way or the other. (We're in the process of tearing down part of our house to rebuild and expand, hopefully to something a little more inspiring and hopefully 'green' enough that we won't feel as guilty about not just soldiering through with our dreary bitty-bitty box.)

My overall mark was 63, which translates into being an Upper Second Class Honours (one below the highest, which is a First Class Honours). This is what I was expecting so I'm happy!
