How was this really fair? There were kids that actually had the mutant power of being smarter! Zach tossed the calculus book away from him into the grass, which promptly responded.

"Oh! Hey!"

Zach's face instantly changed to that of surprise as a younger couple suddenly appeared out of thin air, on top of each other, cradling each other in their arms, right where his book had been thrown.

"Watch it!"

"You watch it. Maybe if you guys just got a room..."

The guy, who happened to have gills on his neck, and seemed to be just kind of scaly here and there, was getting to his feet and to be honest, Zach really didn't feel like dealing with this.

"Get outta here, man. We were here first."

"Whatever, kid. We all live here right, why don't you guys go hang out by the pool? Alright, Fishboy? And take Ms. Invisible with you."

They were maybe 16, or older, Zach was kind of having a hard time with telling. He'd figured out too late that not everyone aged the same, another creepy concept.

"What did you just call me?"

"Freddy, No!"

Ah, so the girl cuts in when we start slinging testosterone? What a soap opera.

"But..."

"C'mon, lets just go..."

They turned and walked away and Zach gritted his teeth as they made their way out of the picture. Even the freaks had friends. It was hard as all get out to find someone his age who wasn't enamored with someone else. They just all latched onto a small group of people and at a place so big, Zach wasn't really sure where he fit in.

"What the hell..."

He turned and kicked at the stone bench he had been sitting on and it snapped in half under the solid weight of his foot. His shoe took a nasty cut to its tread which didn't help at all. His face twitched as he tried to figure out what now. He'd just done something equally stupid as starting the fight with the fish kid. Irons felt like a three year old throwing a temper tantrum, make that a oprhaned three year old.

Some things never changed, especially when kids and students were involved. They never knew what love really was, never knew where they were going, and worst of all, temper tantrums.

Johnathan Parker deduced his day was off to a poor start when he wandered into the latter of the three categories, not to mention he'd have to replace yet another bench. Those weren't cheap.

"For crying out loud," he groused as he made his way toward the broken bench, the earth leaving deep footprints as he walked. "How many times do we have to tell you kids with super strength that there's a perfectly good set of punching and kicking bags in the gymn that are near indestructable." He paused a moment, looking Zach over. "Wait, you're not even a student, here! Who are you and what makes you think you can just go around breaking school property?"
