Anybody played this PS2/XBox game? I bought it for PS2 not long ago and I forgotten how much I enjoyed it when I rented it from Blockbuster back in the day (it's a good few years old now).
I never thought an Aliens-based RTS could work but it's such an enjoyable game. You can go either the Marines, Aliens or Predators. Marines get the firepower, Predators get the power and the skills, but the Aliens get the numbers! It's so much fun building up your own alien hive with a horde of beasties running around impregnating marines to further bolster your forces.
I only wish there were more to it. But that would be best left to a PC version with more rts elements - as such there's no real resource gathering. The marines get a lump sum of requisition points every so often, the predators get honour for kills, and the aliens get hive points when they kill/impregnate hosts. There are various upgrades such as marine firepower and armour, preds get more technology, and the aliens get stuff like regeneration, and drones can spit spores with enhance the host to give birth to better hybrids - a warrior born from a cystic host becomes a meaner, nastier cystic warrior for instance.
It's so cool ordering your drones to drag comatose marines back to the hive ready for impregnation. It's good to be bad :)
On a similar note, has anyone else heard about the new FPS being developed by Sega based on the Aliens franchise - Colonial Marines. The wikipedia page has a really nice looking screenshot - it's dripping with atmosphere, here it is:

Makes me wonder if Sierra will do an AvP3 - I loved AvP2, it had a great story and the levels were so fitting.
