Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Has anyone played this game yet? I heard it's gotten mostly negative reviews from the media, but positive reviews from the people that have actually played it (which makes me wonder about whether or not it's simply the storyline the media doesn't like), but basically your a construction worker in New York city in an alternate timeline in 1953 when the Greater Nazi Empire (in this AU, Churchill dies in a taxicab crash in New York in 1931, and Chamberlin surrenders Britian during Operation Sealion in 1940. Plus the Soviet Union falls, and Japan expands as well) invades the United States.

It looks like a pretty awesome game, so I was curious if anyone here has played it.

The concept and story is good and fresh, but the actual gameplay is atrocious. I played the demo and I couldn't even finish the silly thing because it was so annoying. It takes forever to shoot someone to death, the weapons feel weak, and it incorporates the kind of AI that like to stand around in the open and shoot at you with superb accuracy. Things may have gotten fixed since the demo phase, but I doubt it.

Good concept, bad delivery.

I mean, Zepplins are crahsing, the Statue of Liberty his holding an F'ing GIANT Nazi Flag, and the White House had Nazi Flags all over it's F'ing self! I thought the Demo on X-Box Live was pretty lame. This game is using the U3 engine but does not score anywhere in the visual department and the fire fights are pretty boring. I think I will stick to Halo 3 and Rainbow SiX Vegas 2 for the next months :)

The story sounds very interesting, but the game itself is supposed to be atrocious.. :(
