Oh yes how sweet those days were!:D ....hmmm I forgot all about Banana Man! The kid ate a banana or something and then turned into a super hero?

You named a lot of my favorites, and the only ones I can think of to add are Inspector Gadget and Dangermouse, the latter of which I still watch to this day.

There's a special heaven reserved just for those kind souls who put DM into DVD collections.

Dangermouse is the only mouse I know of who could pull of an eye patch. I liked that show to, for some reason I remember it coming on Nickelodeon in the 80's but I could be wrong.

I could list forever, but out of the ones mentioned I think the old TMNT cartoon and Thundercats are far and away my favorites. I used to go get PVC pipe outta my dad's truck and pretend to be a Ninja Turtle, and I used to enjoy spouting off quotes from Thundercats at appropriate moments.

Silverhawks? Dude that is terrible lol. ELECTRIC GUITARS IN SPACE.

I am convinced that 80's cartoon makers were high....every single day. I defy you to watch He Man and Thundercats as an adult now. You can only do it with a lot of chemicals in your system.

I'll buck the trend and admit that I liked Heathcliff for some reason.

Heathcliff was great, and his girl Cleo with her leg warmers..LMAO!

In no particular order:

Transformers (Gen 1 of course, never watched Beast Wars or any of the other spin-offs)
He-Man
Vicky the Viking
Astroboy (got the entire 80s series on DVD a couple of years ago)
Robotech (I actually have the Macross series on VCD at home - I got it from a mate in 2001)
Silverhawks (yeah, electric guitars in space is pretty stupid, but it was great when you were 6 :))
Belle & Sebastian
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (turns out this was a dubbed Japanese version - I've never actually read the Oz books but I would assume the series covered a fair chunk of it).
The Green Planet aka. Robostory (I had nearly forgotten about this cartoon, until I stumbled across it on YouTube a few months back)
Voltron (Lion, never saw Vehicle or the other one)
Banana Man
Inspector Gadget (how cool was it that Don Adams aka Maxwell Smart did the voice?)
Roger Ramjet ("Roger Ramjet he's our man, hero of the nation ...")
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (probably technically not the 80s for me - I didn't start watching them until 1990-91)

Bizarrely, I somehow missed the whole Thundercats craze - my brother watched them though (though I had to remind him - he only remembered Silverhawks).

I also saw a lot of Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Flintstones and other Hanna Barberra cartoons as well, but obviously they all predate the 80s in terms of when they were made.

There are probably heaps more that I can't remember off the top of my head. :)

Belle and Sebastian was on Nick. Man I used to watch the crap outta that show whenever it came on. Can't believe I forgot about it.

In terms of my all time favorite cartoon though, you'd need to skip ahead to the nineties. Exo Squad all the way, baby. I've got all of the officially released episodes on VHS, and the first seventeen episodes on my comp. I found a site that has all of the episodes available for download, and have been grabbing them periodically.

I used to watch Astroboy every morning, and at lunch (after a hard day of kindergarten), we'd watch the old Spider-man cartoon. Good times. :cool

Another cartoon that we used to watch all the time was Dr Snuggles. I tried to watch it as an adult and darn, is it trippy! Also used to watch non-cartoon Canuck shows, but the only one I can remember is The Friendly Giant. There's a station here that replays all the canadian tv shows from when I was a kid, too. IE. Danger Bay, Beachcombers, etc. XD

http://www.retrojunk.com/tv/list/1980/2/pop/ <--go through this list if you want to remember half the shows you've forgotten >_>;

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs rocked!
All the cool kids watched Saber Rider and He Man in kindergarten and all the losers watched the smurfs.

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers was a great show as well.

Most of the one's mentione dreally.

Special mention to He-Man, TMHT (We got Hero Turtles in the UK), Thundercats as they were probably my favourites!

Loved Ducktales, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, The Raccoons, The Gummi Bears (bouncing here and there and everywhere). Tale Spin (I think that may have been early nineties, not too sure).

The Shoe People, The Family Ness, Penny Crayon (gotta love Sue Pollard), Around the World with Willy Fog, Batfink, Mighty Mouse, Bertha, Button Moon, Charlie Chalk, Denver (The Last Dinosaur), Dungeons and Dragons, The Clangers, Ewoks, Henry's Cat, Garfield and Friends, Jimbo and the Jetset, Kissyfur, Muppet Babies, Postman Pat, Raggy Dolls, Roobarb and Custard, Thomas the Tank Engine, Trap Door, Teddy Ruxpin, Stoppit and Tidyup (narrated by Terry Wogan, the legend that he is :))

That immense list is prewtty much what I watched that nobody mentioned.

Got there were some great cartoons in my childhood :)

Other faves already mentioned are Dangermouse, Superted, The Raccoons (Cyril Sneer scared me :P), Galaxy High, Dogtanian, Bananaman ("...but when Eric eats a banana..."), Count Duckula (good old David Jason - and the intro rap was awesome), Inspector Gadget, Super Ted - oh they were all just awesome.

I'll have to include Tom and Jerry since I was born in '84 and watched them as a young child. Absolutely love that cat and mouse. I have 4 DVD's of Tom and Jerry cartoons, they still crack me up even now :)

Super Ted - I knew I forgot one. :angel

And of course I completely forgot about all the Disney cartoons too, so yeah - Gummi Bears, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Ducktales etc (I don't think Chip n' Dale and Tail Spin were on until the 90s though, not sure).

EDIT: AND THE SMURFS TOO!!!
