In the thread where I recapped last year for yours truly, I mentioned that:
In May, the first of four large college-related debts I had was paid off.
As of this week, I'm proud to say "two down, two to go".
This particular debt was a student loan that lingered from the 97-98 school year where I absolutely failed to do the work required of me and essentially wasted time and money. It was the worst period in my life at the time and it's nice to have that whole misadventure finally behind me.
As I type this, I can't help but think I've grown since then. If this were ten years ago, or even five, I'd probably be a lot more wordy about "closing a chapter in my life yadda yadda yadda". Now it's like I'm taking a victory completely in stride. It's a nice feeling. :)
