R.I.P. Roy Scheider

Played a Bob Fasse type of character in All That Jazz...and of course Chief Brody in Jaws.

Sadly I hardly saw any of his films - Jaws 1 & 2 plus seaQuest DSV (the first season was great, the later ones not so much) as well as one of his films from the 70s (it also starred Malcolm MacDowell, but I forget the name).

"Die son of a ...!" - memorable line.

I was sad and shocked to hear of his passing. The first thing that popped into my head upon hearing the news was the famous line, "You're gonna need a bigger boat." To me, he will always be Chief Martin Brody from Jaws.

I also watched SeaQuest DSV just because of him, and I totally agree, Atreyu...first season was fun, the rest was pretty sucky.

RIP, Mr. Scheider. :(

I was so happy to see him as Thomas Jane's dad in the Punisher, even though it was a brief role. I wasn't expecting to see him there. News of his passing is not well received by me. :(
