Stumped on Sten

In recreating Sten, I've come to an impasse of sorts. I can't really seem to remember the qualities I liked best about the first character I played.....heck, it's been so long, I can't seem to remember much of anything about the character, save for some details. So I figured, why not just ask everyone here just what exactly it was that they liked about Sten. That way, I could figure out just what I should keep and what I should throw right out.

What I do have so far is that he is a human male, very athletic, very acrobatic. He favors martial arts, particularly in unarmed combat. He's a bit nervous around blasters. He's actually an acrobat thief, though he's more of a fan of the acrobatic feats than he is the stealing portion. His tabloid nickname is "The Chimp," and his actual nickname is "Sten" from his last name, Stenislav.

That's all I really have. Any help would be awesome! Thanks all! :D

Hmm, I had a lot of dealings with this.. Sten the Chimp in a past life, so I'll try to give what input I have.

I think, above anything else, I just really enjoyed the idea of the character concept. I mean, an ape thing, using the Force? It was just so different from the other humanoid characters out there. And the way it was incorporated into your story. It was the overall concept I enjoyed.

But I hear you turned him human? Boo. Does the human still poses some monkey like qualities? Cause something tells me an advance in evolution of this magnitude would leave some side effects like that. o_O

Hmm, after a few IM's with Snack, I'm thinking of changing the race to Chiss, with some unusual features, such as a bifrocated tail and differently formed hands and feet, such as the ones on Nightcrawler.....Any thoughts?

Wow, a sudden influx of affirmative posts. I owe it to Snack. He kinda gave me the idea, plus seeing my buddy icon of Nightcrawler, it gave me a duh smack last night......

But I may not do the deformed hands....so he can play guitar, or a stringed instrument. You know, the whole, entertainer part. Would explain his acrobatic skill, and perhaps even his abilities to use various forms of unarmed combat, ranging from flailing kicks, to strange grabs and disarms, to "Steel Hand" technique of Teras Kasi....

I was also debating a small legacy behind him, much like the "Dread Pirate Roberts" routine.....both in the fact that he may not be the first "Chimp," and that when you get right down to it, he may be just a regular guy with a lot of skill....who looks rather freaky.....:lol

How does the further additions sound?
