It's not actually entirely true. The actual toxin (Persin) is dangerous much like pretty much most things in largish quantities - birds seem to be more suseptible but they can injest some of it. Humans so far oddly dotn seem to have any problem with the toxin. It's claimed cats have a problem with it, but I know for a fact at least one cat loves avocardo to pieces and has no side effects from scoffing it. Stig really is a weird cat tho
