I have a new idea for a lizard species. Looks like a Hork-bajir from Animorphs, google Hork Bajir if you want to see it. Please help me with inseting into stuff like Pong's Panjeers.
If you want to help me, just post. Please and thank you.

Luckily for me, I have read my fair share of Animorphs, although I have not touched one of those books in years.
So you want to create a species based on the Hork-Bajir, or a carbon copy adapted to the Star Wars Universe?

Based on them. I was thinking about putting them on a wasteland planet, one with desert, ice, and jungle. I just thought of something when posting this, so, Telos could work, right? There are different types:
Ice: These ones have thicker blades, scales, and are usually 8 ft. They are shades of white and grey.
Jungle: These have sharper blades, pointy scales, and about 6 ft on average.
They are shades of green, brown, and olive.
Desert: These have thin, sharp blades, long scales, and 7 ft. They are shades of brown, tan, and black.
So, tell me if something is wrong or if it's fine. Thanks for posting!!

Telos would work, but you would have to have a reason for them being there in the first place, as they are obviously non-canon. My first thought is that some reptilian non-sentient species was brought to Telos as part of the restoration project and planted all over the planet. Now these reptiles could have reacted uniquely to the environment and whatever chemicals and whatnot that are being used for the restoration. They rapidly "evolve", adjusting to their new environment and become a SW equivalent of the Hork-bajir.
I have a question though. Would these SW Hork-bajir be sentient or non-sentient?

It would be a mix.
Jungle: Non-sentient because they only need food and shelter, easy to get there in the jungle!
Ice: Sentient because they need to figure out how to survive out there in cold, frozen wasteland-land!
Desert: Mixed. I'd say semi-sentient, non-sentient, and sentient, because they sorta need to know how to live in that part. Some can just use instinct to survive. Others can be semi-sentient so they have basic tools to live.
So, yeah.
Then they react to different things on the planet. The desert ones messed with radioactive liquids in huge cans in desert research facilities. They started to react the quickest. The ice Horks had reacted to the Telos Handmaiden Acedemy and they adapted to it, becoming sentient. The jungle Horks wouldn't adapt. They would just kill all the settlers in that area. So, that's all it!

I like it. It's definitely a cool idea. We have a knack here at SW-Fans for adapting other Sci-fi elements to Star Wars.
Now just wait for an Admin to notice this thread and comment. I'm only a moderator for a group that doesn't exist anymore. :D

I'm glad you guys are excited about this but it's best to see if you can find something in Wookiepedia that matches what you want first.

I've checked alotta crap for that kinda stuff, but Trandos are the only thing thats close enough. But I'm REALLY tired of them and the Hork-Bajir looked cooler, my friend showed it to me and it was like OMG! SWEET! :dance
And yeah, Telos doesn't have many sentient species that I know of besides humans. They could do with a little spicing! And Telos isn't really focused on in sw-fans.net that I know of.

None of 'em fit it. Let's just wait for a mod to show up like Zereth said.

So, is anyone going to help? I've already inserted one into "A New Order" and I just want to know if this is going to go through or not.
