Jedi Academy?

My question is about the primary Jedi Acadamy on Coruscant.

Does the building still stand or was it demolished? If it still stands what does the Empire use it for or is it just a reminder of Battles won?

If it was destroyed what was it replaced by? Is this said new structure of any importance to the Empire?

During my roleplays we've always roleplayed it as destroyed, with the rubble still standing blanketing the land where it once stood.

An option:

If it was destroyed, or left empty...well, my medical centre, research facilites, and main offices are on Coruscant. Conveniently, that it is the site of the main academy, Ilias would have had veiled interest in building/acquiring better facilities on the land. Considering he is likely the highest medical authority within the Empire [and hush-hush, the empire doesn't know he's a Jedi Kinght- and master healer...] his presence on that site within the capital district would, well, make sense. And being a Jedi, also probably a little ironic.

I don't actually have any specific placement on Coruscant as to where the the centre is. So, it could be there. Otherwise, the site is

a) still standing

b) rubble

...further input is appreciated, of course, if anybody HAS input.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Temple I'd take whatever is written here about the Temple to be accepted by the community. However I recommend confirming anything with the Imperial Inquisitoriate they've got something against anything associated with the Force and the Jedi.

According to the wiki from just brief run through the building should still be standing. It wasn't until after the New Jedi order was in place that it was totally destroyed. However from what I read it wasn't in to good of shape after Vader's purge.

So from what I get is it would still be there but in sever need of reconstruction.

Thanks for all the help guy's. I was just wondering cause I am working out an Idea that may Involve what is left of the structure. Not sure exactly it is still in the very early stages of planning.

Also as I suspected. After reading a little more deeply it was left standing to crumble to pieces on it's own by the Empire as a symbol of Vader's victory over the Jedi.

It was a very interesting read.

So far from what I have Gathered the building is standing, but is in very poor condition. Due to both damage many war's have caused to it, Vaders Purge, and just plan aging.

Now I'm wondering how well Guarded the Build may be?

I would say that the building is still structurally intact, and some of the damage repaired, such a large building would be needed. I also assume that it would have been converted into a government building. Of what type, I have no idea.

Everything of the original library was raided by the Inquisitoriate and is now located in the archives at the Inquisitorial Citadel. The facilty (reading from the wiki) is probably a public library/information hub. Anything reminiscent of the Jedi would also have been removed.

Actually what I would be after if I decided to do this would not be something the Jedi left behind. It would be something that the Imperials have there or at least use depending on weather Obi won and Yoda destroyed it or just disabled it.

What I would be after is the beacon or at least the computer chip inside that scans and use to or maybe still does send out a destress signal to all Jedi. Trying to lure them to curoscant into a Inquisterate trap.

The reason I want said chip is because it will more then likely have all the old Jedi comm frequences in it's coding. Not useful right away for anything more then knowing you know the frequences but eventually it could have it's uses.

That and I figure the Inquiserate would already be monerating said channels from there base of operation. So a missing chip with the frequences would still be a crime but one that would virtually go unnoticed by the inquiserate. It would not be there Juristiction to investigate theft unless they could prove a force user was the reason for said theft. Also since the Inquesirate would have said channels already in there Data banks it would be an easy problem to fix just make another chip.

Hmmmm, interseting. All right, I'd like to see how that runs, the frequencies would probably be hard-wired into the computer systems anyway. Simple enough to copy or steal (well relatively :D) after getting by whatever guards are there.

I think it does have the possibility for being in Inq jurisdiction. They don't just deal with force users, any potential threat to the security of the Empire is fair game.
