View Full Version : Editing wiki profile question

I just made some changes to my wiki entry (added a quote, moved the profile description out from the 'in character' section) all above the 'contents' page. I've now noticed I can't edit that portion now.

Is there anyway to fix this or does a 'roll-back' need to be done?

^ That's the URL to edit the entire page, so that should work.

Yeah, you have to use the EDIT tab at the very top of the page in order to access that now. The little EDIT links inside the page just link you to specific sections within the page's table of contents.

Could someone explain how the wikiquote thing works?

Here's the code (stolen from wookiepedia)

{{Quote|I'm no Jedi; I'm just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions.|Kyle Katarn|Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast}}

Hm, it looks like I will have to create a Quote template before that code will work. Give me a couple of minutes...

EDIT: Alright, I copied the template over, but I can't figure out how to get the whole sourcing system to work, so right now the code is just -

{{Quote|quote text|attribution}}

It seems there has to be a specific wiki entry for the source to work.

Either way, it works for me. Nice work thar Dasq :)

Is it possible to add the 'dialogue' template too?

Sorry to ask so many questions but I am going 'all out' on this wiki entry.

I'm not sure how to remove the 'source' element out of that one.

All I did was creatve a wiki page for Rescue Mission: Birdsong. The '#if' thing I don't get.

Yeah, me neither. The coding is a little complex for a non-techy such as myself. I can do basic things, but my trial-and-error tooling around hasn't yielded any success with this.
