Denver WIN at Houston
Jedi Master Carr
Dec 13th, 2007, 10:42:09 PM
I knew I was smart to pick Houston :p Everybody saw that Denver win last week and thought they were playing great, but I knew the truth since they played my awful Chiefs.
Rev Solomon
Dec 14th, 2007, 12:31:35 AM
Well, my pick was more about lack of faith in Houston than faith in Denver. But then, I haven't had much opportunity to see the Texans play this year. They really put together a strong effort against the Broncos.
I thought not having Matt Schaub would hurt the Texans. Shows how much I know - apparently Rosenfels has marginally better numbers than Schaub this season.
(Wrong account, is Kale)

Dec 14th, 2007, 11:22:40 AM
The last two games Rosenfels or however you spell it has been hot. Add to that Andre Johnson is back, and the Texans once again have a decent offense that can win them games.
I just didn't have faith int hem either. ^_^

On another note, I find it ironic I used that account to say I didn't have enough faith. :p

The Bucs ran a kickoff back for a touchdown! First time in franchise history.
EDIT: Had a bit of a scuffle there after an INT by the Bucs. Late hit by a Falc player, which was followed by a pileup by Bucs on said player after the play was over. Ref took down the Falc player too. But the only fouls were on the Falcs for that mess.

Two weeks ago, the Ravens came close to ending the Patriots' season of perfection. Now they're close to ending the Dolphins' perfection - the score is 13-13 with under 6 minutes left in the 4th.
Meanwhile, the Browns' 32-ranked defense has played dominantly against the Bills. The Browns are winning 8-0 in the snow on the grace of two field goals and a special teams safety.

Some nasty conditions out there which is making all the games pretty much low scoring slugfests. It is even hurting NE's offense.

Ravens will probably fire Bellichek after the game. Crazy weekend so far.
Heeeeey, can they do that? Should've done it before the game against New England! ;)
EDIT: Oh, darn, you fixed it. :)

Philly is sure giving the Cowboys a game here. Indy also barely beat Oakland. A lot of strange games today.
Rev Solomon
Dec 16th, 2007, 06:25:00 PM
The Eagles have beaten the Cowboys. Brian Westbrook broke free as time wound down to the two-minute warning and had a clear shot at the end zone to make it a 17-6 game, but he chose to fall down at the one so the Eagles could just kill the clock and keep the Cowboys from getting the ball again. A very surprising and selfless move - while, yes, the Cowboys would have needed to score two touchdowns to draw it even, Westbrook guaranteed the victory by stopping short of the goal line.

Yeah that was unselfish of him. The Cowboys are going to make the last two games interesting. If they lose one game and the Packers go unbeaten.

The Giants sure suck. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose their last two games.

The Jets and the Jaguars are my heroes today. The former made Tom Brady have a bad game and the latter pulled a win only me and Kraken saw. :)

Dec 17th, 2007, 06:38:42 PM
Yeah and its given you a chance to beat me in our fantasy league. Hopefully the Vikings don't get a 11 points. That wicked Northeaster really messed me up in both of my leagues. I need Darren Hester to get less than 10 points in one and the Vikings to do less than 12 in this one.

Vikings defense made 11 points, so it's a tie. Although you have more TDs, so you will win the tie breaker. Just 10 more return yards, or 1 sack, or if yahoo counted yards at inteception, you would have lost the game. And this with a defense that scored 21 points on average the last 3 weeks and Bears with their absolute anemic offense. You lucked out on that one big time.. :p

Heh I know I did. I thought I was doomed when I saw Brady's poor numbers. I had him as my starting QB in both of my leagues (I have Moss in my other one as well). Both games came down to this game, you almost caught me and then in the other game if Hester had gotten two more points I would have lost that one. I think I am in good shape for my next game as long as the conditions in Boston aren't the same as this past Sunday. As for the rest of the league there were two upsets, jjwr and Jedieb's teams both got knocked off by Terran's team and Space Cowboys (is this Liam's team?).

Yup, the Space Cowboys are my team. Weird, they won!
Missed this weeks picks, damn router went out. Oh well, Dallas lost, that's what really matters. But it's ok, I can deal with a 14-2 season :)
