dreams, like snow,
fall from the heavens and blanket our world.
by the winters end, everything is black,
saturated with dirt,
crushed,
trampled,
under the feet of those who come and go.
how fortunate that when our dreams melt,
it is in that dirt that our futures can grow.

I'd like to express my current emotional state through the ever-versatile medium of punctuation:

Danke :)
If I only had a band... Then I could actually write songs instead of just bashing my head against a geetar or my mic. The drum tracks kill me. I need to figure out a drum machine or something.
Or... get a band.

I play almost a dozen instruments but I'm a bassist mostly. Check this out,
purevolume.com/riceplaysbass
I use a trio of Fender Precisions on those tracks.
58 strung with LaBella Flats
Pino Palladino P-bass defretted and strung with rotosound flats
And my new Highway One with Rotosound rounds.
Drums were a Pearl kit with Remo heads and Sabian brass.
I recorded those awhile ago on the spot.

playing around, towards the end I was like, "Christmas? Why not... One simple lick..." I maybe have gone overboard... and not necessarily in a good way. Bleh.
C'est la vie.
Merry Christmas!

Just added two more songs, one of them was improv (the annoying diddle), the other was an old recording of mine.
Here's a link, just click play for the song you want.

Enjoy!
EDIT: I realized the old web address was wrong, that was my old purevolume account before I changed it.

some timing issues in there, along with some completely misplaced notes; but, I can't work alone on a song for longer than 2 hours. So, it's as is.
