So. I just found out that my dad is going to Afghanistan and then Africa in a short while. Thing is, it wasn't from him. Why didn't he feel the desire to tell me? Well, cause we don't talk that often; even though I call him every other week. And the weird thing is, I really don't care.
Truth be told I'm surprised he didn't go sooner, since he works for Blackwater. I mean, it's something I would expect him to have to do and all given that company, but the thing that just boggles my mind is how, after being asked by my sister why he wasn't going to tell me, he said that he and I don't talk often and he'd be back lickety-split anyway. Keep in mind that I'd talked to him just this last friday/saturday, and asked if he had anything going on - to which he replied 'no'.
