What's everyone up to this year? Any great costume ideas? I'm planning on going as Claire "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" Bennet from Heroes, complete with prosthetic wounds and all :D

We have a couple ideas. On plan is to go as transformers. My and the roomies as deceptacons and the guys down the hall as the autobots.

I don't think we're doing anything this year :(
I thought about being General Iro from Avatar, but thats obscure and stuff. Eventually, I may put together enough roman armor to make a good Centurion.

I am staying home to relax and hand out candy, but Rhys and Ben are going out together dressed as a maraschino cherry and an ice cream sundae, respectively. :D

Bought myself a wig and shirt today. Now just need a skirt and some fake blood/etc. I think I have about 4 parties to go to, on 4 successive nights. It's a good job I'll be off uni that week!

I'm thinking I'll be a priest ;) Smoke a cigar, drink from a flask of Jack.
I have 2 parties so far.
I just need to find a date that wants to be a pregnant nun...
Yay being offensive!

I always jump back and forth between a bunch of costume ideas then eventually I end up not dressing up at all. :( I think I'm just going buy a random cheap pre-packaged costume this year because I might actually have somewhere to go.
The costumes I want to wear are usually too small for me though. It makes me feel fat. :shakefist

We're firing a wood kiln in Ceramics class the week of Halloween, so I might dig up my Boy Scout uniform and roast marshmallows. :D No, I'm just gonna be a disgruntled college student again this year.

I'm going to be a Pirate lass. I finally got my Tricorn hat. :D

I'm probably going to be a hot gay guy. Borrow my sister's nail polish, lipstick, eye shadow, maybe dye my hair with blonde tips, get a hot pink shirt, hot pink nylon short shorts that are three sizes too small for me.
Just wait until I post the pictures. :evil

Screw Transformers, I went to a Pirate themed party (lost my hat unfortunately). I can so pull off the Jack Sparrow look, just need to hold off shaving for the rest of the month.
Anyone here live in/know their way around Minneapolis? I need to find me a good place to buy costume clothes and stuff, like stage preformance stuff.
If I can't find anything I'll rummage around a Goodwill or a thrift store. Last resort I buy one of them annoyingly overpriced custom sets from Target or Party City.
I am so going to put pictures up (would've had pictures of the party but you know how stuff goes)

Whats this about 'screw Transformers' ? It'll only take a few days to papermache one of these babies together. ;)

I'll be doing what I do every Halloween.
Telling dumb kids to get the hell off my lawn and annoy someone else.

That video was so cool! (I know I saw and Edward Elric walking behind one of them XD)
This year I'll be going as young Remus Lupin. My cousin is going as Sirius (she wouldn't let ANYONE pick Sirius besides her >.<), and our friend Ashley is going as James. We couldn't find a Pettigrew...but, meh, who'd want to be the rat? I think we're going to actually go out and get some candy from people this time around...and here I am 25...hanging out with 16 year olds...
Gotta get my sugar for those overnight shifts from SOMEWHERE and this is cheaper than buying it myself.

I've ordered everything for my costume now, just waiting on various stuff to arrive. I made my Union Wells High School cheerleading team t-shirt today, which is looking pretty snazzy... will almost be a shame to tear/bloody it up! Hopefully people will realize who I am!

Me, I don't know what I'm going to be wearing yet. I'll just dig up one of my old costumes and where that, but my son is being dressed up as a Devil adn we're going to hit a local mall for trick-or-treating this year

The Royal Mail have been striking on and off the past couple of weeks, so all of my costume hasn't arrived yet :( I have everything but my authetic cheerleading skirt. I'm going to re-use my costume from last year (Batgirl) for going out tonight, and then pray my skirt turns up in the morning.

Ok, that Transformers video was AWESOME. I think I'd walk around the entire week of Halloween with that on!
Our family went as the Lupins -- I was Tonks, Shannon was Remus and Aidan was Teddy (though he wouldn't let me color Aidan's hair purple... dammit).
I was never able to get a good family picture of the three of us :(

Same. I live on a street that kids seem to leave alone. Maybe because it's so long, with houses only on one side, because the other side happens to have WATER.
...not that I would push them IN or anything...

It was really rainy here so not too many kids were out - none but an intrepid trio (Superman, Obi-Wan, and Strawberry Shortcake) were out in our neighborhood. Their pillowcases were very full. :D

What happened to the Cheerleader costume? Ever get all the pieces in time?
Dasquian Belargic
Nov 5th, 2007, 09:13:10 PM
Nope, it didn't all turn up, frustratingly. We have theme nights at work regularly, so I'm hoping I'll be able to use it for that or for a random fancy dress party... if/when it turns up. I have a horrible feeling that I'm going to have to hassle the cheerleading website.

My halloween was crash and burn. I was feeling so awful that day, that I just went to bed.

I too had an awful day on Halloween itself :(
:hug
But I had a lot of fun going out as Harry Potter, so that made it up for it some.
