I went with a few upsets. I don't trust the Redskins and Seattle I think could pull a big upset also the Ravens should be mad and I think can pull one there. Arizona and Dallas are easy ones. I think the Chiefs will actually win at home.

I don't trust the Lions or the Redskins, but I'm giving the Redskins the benefit of the doubt because they are at home. The Ravens have screwed me twice with $ on the line, so I hope they lose every game for the rest of the year. Though with news coming down that Alex Smith is done for the year, I may have to change my pick. Who is their back up QB?

Ancient Trent Dilfer, I guess the only thing good about him is he won't lose the game.

Don't count on that - he posted a 0.0 rating for Cleveland a couple years ago. Granted, it was Cleveland, but still... journeyman veterans don't always come through, as Brian Griese demonstrated.

Whoop, my bad - just looked it up, and it was Jeff Garcia who posted that 0.0, not Trent Dilfer. Which is doubly surprising, considering how well Garcia is doing so far this year. I guess dropping into a situation with a good supporting cast (the Eagles last year) can revitalize a career.

Garcia had a really bad year that year so I am not surprised.

Ravens and 49ers have jerked me around too much, so I am picking the home team and non favorite. I can't possibly do worse than last week anyway.

I kinda wish I got my picks in before leaving on vacation (just got back), but then again I would have done awful. Steelers, Ravens, Jacksonville, Houston, and Pats would have been the only ones I would have picked who won (I would have picked Cowboys, have to see how it goes tonight).
Oh well. At least I'll be here to select picks for this weekend.

I have to admit, I'm heartbroken right now. But all in all, this is one of the best football games I've seen all year so far. Those danged Cowpies, gggrrrr!!! But this was supposed to be a cakewalk for them, so I'm at least glad that the Bills put up such a good fight and put some fear into them. Yay Bills, even if they did lose at the end. :thumbup

HA! Despite the low blow timeout from the Bills coach which might have won the Bills the game, the Cowboys kick a second good FG and win the game, 25-24.
Wow, what a game.
So the Cowboys will be 5-0 when they get slaughtered by the Pats next week.
Kale
Oct 8th, 2007, 10:02:49 PM
I don't think the Bills defense had any idea how to defend a quick out... it was the only possible play the Cowboys could have called, and they did it twice, uncontested.
I was really hoping that kick would miraculously go wide. I feel for you, Bills fans. :(

Wow, that was a great last few minutes. I think the Cowboys were just thinking about next week against the Pats, and the Bills came out and surprised 'em. But we crawled back and won, so ha!
Go Cowboys! :D

So far, the three other teams in the AFC East have lost all their games except the ones where they played each other. The Patriots could go 6-10 and make the playoffs if they wanted.

That was a horrible amount of turnovers by Romo. You can maybe get away with that against the Bills, but certainly not the Patriots and the Colts.

What do the Bills have to do to win a big game? First home game on MNF in 13 years, and THIS happens to them? Unbelievable. I've never seen a more cursed sports town than Buffalo. Between the Bills and Sabres, they have more heartbreaking, soul-crushing defeats than any other city that I can think of, and I'm including the pre-curse Red Sox and the Cubs.

I think Cleveland is worse since they haven't won anything in like 50 years.

What about the Lions?
And what I knew was coming has already happened - Trent Green is done for the year with another concussion. I would never really tell a guy when to retire, but he NEEDS to retire now. He's playing for a pathetic team with no chance of success. He should walk away now before he ends up having serious problems.

The Fins are in the hunt for the #1 pick now. With their luck they'll win a few late in the year and blow their shot at drafting a franchise QB.

They were stupid to trade for him really. I knew he was done after last season. The Chiefs got lucky just to get that 5th round pick for him.

With their luck, they will get #1 draft pick, and draft a QB that sucks.
