Anybody catch this new show? I saw it tonight, I thought it was pretty good. It reminded me a lot of Quantum Leap. Kevin McKidd really made the show work and plus I love stuff about time travel.

It's going to take a lot for me to see McKidd as anybody other than Lucius Vorenus :)
I'm loving this so far. I was worried it would be a Quantum Leap redux, but apparently there are a lot of time travelers

I really liked it, I am curious how they are able to time travel.

I missed this somehow. I have been waiting for it to come on and new it was starting soon...yet still I missed it.
And it is for McKidd that I will watch it. He was outstanding as Verenus,

Absolutely. Ever since Rome, I'll watch anything he's in. I was pleasantly surprised to see he was in Dog Soldiers too, so of course I snatched that up.
Both him & Daniel Craig seem to be bringing back the Steve McQueen school of actor style, in which men are carved from stone instead of porcelain.

Wasn't Dog Soldiers that werewolf movie?
I've watched the first five or so minutes of this, then we switched and watched something else. I intend to get back to it before the second ep airs. :)

This is the first Ive heard of Dog Soldiers.
Daniel Craig, yes, most definitely. Whoever chose him as the new Bond is my hero.
McKidd - what nationality is he? The Mc gives me the Scot inclination, but he sure looked roman in Rome.

McKidd is utterly incomprehensibly Scottish. You cannot understand a single word in his natural tongue.

Anytime I see McKidd, I think of Trainspotting.

It is VERY tough to follow in the beginning. Stick with it :)

I watched the 2nd episode and found it a bit ehh.
Its hard to think of McKidd as the stoic, tough roman and then see him crouching and scuffling around to hide from his own self in his own (past) living room.
Verenus is going to be hard to banish.

Watched the first and second eps back to back - the hubby and I really enjoyed it. Of course, we don't have any preconcieved notions about McKidd, since we never watched Rome.
I liked it, I'm looking forward to the next ep. :)

Yes, I too have a tricky time with it. I'm half expecting him to pause, turn around to face a couple of San Franciscans on the trolley, and belt out "Hippies will be flogged! Chinatown will be strangled! Barry Bonds will be crucified!"

Yep. For days after watching Rome I'd hear "Pullo" in my head at all kinda random moments. McKidd's voice is ingrained into my mind in that one word.
I will stick with Journeyman for a bit. One episode is no way to gage things. I just hope the writers treat him better.

This was a great episode. The eco-terrorism was a good idea, even if it didn't work.

Well another week's worth of gut-clenching nervousness.
If my years of watching the Shield is any indication, Dan is totally screwed now. He should have never taken that cash, much less spent it!
Also holy crap his kid saw him vanish. That boy is going to need therapy!

This show is fantastic - I can't believe that it hasn't done better in the ratings than it has. And NBC will probably not re-order it. Those bastards!
I heard there's a chance the Sci-Fi Channel might pick it up if NBC does cancel it for good, which would be okay, but seriously I think NBC execs are smoking the crack if they think they should axe this fantastic show. The entire season was incredibly solid, imo, the last episodes even more than solid.

I heard about this from my roommate a few days ago and was really let down. It's a great show, why the hell are going to can it? I think what pretty much killed its ratings was the fact that it was on so late, and had to follow an act like Heroes.

Poor ratiings have hurt it. It might be better off on the Sci-Fi channel where it could get a following.
